Muhlenberg County coach Mike Harper started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Torrie Pollard, 5-9 Sr. Caitlin Peterson, 5-9 Jr. Reba Morris, 5-7 8th grader Bailee Harney, and 5-8 So. MaKayla Sampson. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-9 Fr. Lauren Boehm, 6th grader Morgan DeFoor, 6-0 Sr. Tereka Guyn, 5-2 7th grader Juliette Smith, and 5-6 Sr. Audriana Christopher.
Scott County defeated Muhlenberg County by a score of 58-56 in a game that was tied eight times and there were eight lead changes. Scott County shot 30.2% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Muhlenberg County turnovers. Muhlenberg County shot 36.8% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Mustangs connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Scott County turnovers.
5-7 Sr. Danielle DeFoor led Scott County with 16 points including four three point baskets. Audriana Christopher also scored 16 points and recorded four steals. Tereka Guyn recorded 10 points and nine rebounds. Lauren Boehm also recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.
Bailee Harney led Muhlenberg County with 20 points and eight rebounds. Makayla Sampson also scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Reba Morris pulled down nine rebounds.
