Riverside Christian coach James Turner started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Patrick Haddix, 5-9 So. Shawn Hughes, 5-11 Sr. Tommy Moore, 5-2 5th grader Colton Smith, and 5-5 7th grader Michael Roberts.  Sayre coach Ted Hall countered with 6-2 Sr. Philip O’Rourke, 6-1 Sr. Reid Freeman, 6-6 Jr. Ray Brewer, 6-0 Jr. Duncan Courtney, and 6-0 So. Justin Sanders.

Sayre defeated Riverside Christian by a score of 87-31.  Riverside Christian only played five players during the game.  Sayre shot 52.9% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 55 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 15 Riverside Christian turnovers.  Riverside Christian shot 22% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Rams did not attempt any free throws as Sayre only committed three fouls.  The Rams pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Sayre turnovers.

Reid Freeman led Sayre with 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Freeman was nine of 10 from the field including two of two from the three point line.  Philip O’Rourke added 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Ray Brewer chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds in only 10:37 minutes.  6-3 Fr. Quinn Pergande recorded 12 points and seven rebounds on five of five from the field and two of two from the free throw line.

Shawn Hughes led Riverside Christian with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Hughes recorded four three point baskets.  Tommy Moore added eight points and four rebounds.  Patrick Haddix chipped in with six points and six rebounds.

Riverside Christian (31) – Haddix 6, Hughes 14, Moore 8, Smith 3, Roberts 0.

 

Sayre (87) – O’Rourke 18, Freeman 20, Brewer 13, Courtney 2, Sanders 6, Prewitt 7, Davis 4, Durmov 5, Pergande 12.
