Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Trey Grundy, 6-4 So. Jordan Green, 6-5 Jr. Darien Tichenor, 5-8 Sr. Wes Kimball, and 6-0 So. Christen Cunningham.  Paul L. Dunbar coach Justin Yeary countered with 6-2 Jr. Jamal Adu-Peasah, 6-1 Sr. Javone Blincoe, 6-6 Jr. Taylor King, 5-10 So. Conner McHugh, and 5-10 Jr. Mike Smith.

Henry Clay outscored Paul L. Dunbar 34-20 in the second half to earn a 52-44 victory.  Henry Clay shot 41.7% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 34.5% from the field including zero of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on four of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 20 Henry Clay turnovers.

Trey Grundy led Henry Clay with 18 points and seven rebounds.  Jordan Green added 15 points.  Wes Kimball chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.  Darien Tichenor pulled down 14 rebounds and blocked eight shots.

6-1 Jr. William Gary led Dunbar with 14 points.  Taylor King added nine points and Mike Smith chipped in with eight points.
