Tates Creek coach Justin Cheatham started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Katie Pippen, 5-5 Sr. Michelle Tichenor, 6-1 Sr. Peyton Hisel, 5-5 Jr. Lexi Whaley, and 5-6 Jr. Oney Harrison.  Lafayette countered with 6-0 So. Sarah Cooley, 5-7 Sr. Emily Justice, 6-3 Fr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-6 So. Sherlisa Demus, and 5-11 Fr. Dee Givens.

Lafayette defeated Tates Creek by a score of 48-42.  Lafayette shot 38.6% from the field including four of 16 from the free throw line.  The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 25 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 41.2% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on 12 of 27 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 25 Lafayette turnovers.

Dee Givens led Lafayette with 14 points, five rebounds, and four steals.  Givens also connected on some key free throws down the stretch.  5-7 Sr. Aleisha Stiltner added 11 points and three steals.  Emily Justice chipped in with nine points.  Sarah Cooley recorded six points and nine rebounds.  Ashanti Thomas pulled down 10 rebounds.

Oney Harrison led Tates Creek with 17 points.  Peyton Hisel added 15 points, seven rebounds, and five steals.  Katie Pippen recorded five points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
