Henry Clay  vs.  Hazard (Coal Classic)

Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Trey Grundy, 6-4 So. Jordan Green, 6-0 Sr. Alex Blackburn, 5-8 Sr. Wes Kimball, and 6-0 So. Christen Cunningham.  Hazard coach Allen Holland countered with 6-1 Jr. Jarrod Combs, 6-1 So. Josh Hollan, 6-1 Jr. Tyler Triplett, 6-1 So. Mack Hall, and 5-10 So. Matt Thompson.

Henry Clay defeated Hazard by a score of 62-50.  Henry Clay shot 54.2% from the field including eight of 14 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on two of two free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven Hazard turnovers.  Hazard shot 45.2% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on eight of 15 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Henry Clay turnovers.

Christen Cunningham led Henry Clay with 17 points and five assists.  5-10 So. Teddy Ware added 15 points on five three point baskets.  Jordan Green chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Matt Thompson led Hazard with 16 points including two three point baskets.  Mack Hall added 12 points and six rebounds.  Josh Hollan chipped in with 10 points.
