Tates Creek coach Justin Cheatham started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Reecie Herron, 5-9 Jr. Katie Pippen, 6-1 Sr. Peyton Hisel, 5-3 Sr. Michaela Drake, and 5-6 Jr. Oney Harrison. (Note: Starters 5-5 Jr. Lexi Whaley and 5-8 Jr. Dominique Etling-Turner are out with injuries).  Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Sr. Alex Botkin, 5-10 Sr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Sr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-7 Sr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-8 Jr. Octavia Wilson.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 40-11 halftime lead on their way to a 76-34 victory over Tates Creek.  Lexington Catholic shot 49.2% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 18 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 25.5% from the field including zero of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Alex Botkin led Lexington Catholic with 18 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.  5-9 Fr. Rachel Blake added 15 points and six rebounds.  Bonnie Rhule recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.

Peyton Hisel led Tates Creek with 11 points and seven rebounds.  Oney Harrison added six points.
