Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Nick Trisko, 6-3 Jr. Ethan Burlingham, 6-7 So. Jackson Davis, 5-10 So. Lance Blakley, and 6-3 Jr. Tranard Chester.  Paul L. Dunbar coach Justin Yeary countered with 6-2 Jr. Jamal Adu Peasah, 6-1 Jr. William Gary, 6-6 Jr. Taylor King, 5-10 So. Connor McHugh, and 5-10 Jr. Mike Smith.

Lafayette raced out to a 17-1 lead in the first quarter but Dunbar fought back to eke out a 59-58 victory.  Dunbar shot 34.5% from the field including one of 12 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 17 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 35.4% from the field including two of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 54 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Dunbar turnovers.

Mike Smith led Dunbar with 17 points and five steals.  William Gary added 16 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Jamal Adu Peasah recorded 12 points, five rebounds, and four steals.

Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Tranard Chester also recorded 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds.  Nick Trisko added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
