Lexington Catholic coach Tony Talbott started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Alex Botkin, 5-9 Fr. Octavia Wilson, 6-0 So. Liz Walton, 5-5 Sr. Meghan Cawood, and 5-6 Sr. Anna Gayle Scott.  Clay County coach James Burchell countered with 5-10 Sr. Jordan Phillips, 5-9 So. Sabrina Smith, 6-1 Jr. Whitney Belle Jackson, 5-5 So. Alisha Mitchell, and 5-7 Jr. Kayla Smith.

Clay County held on down the stretch to record a 47-46 victory over Lexington Catholic.  Lexington Catholic outscored Clay County 20-13 in the second quarter to take a 28-23 halftime lead.  Clay County rallied and the score was tied 39-39 entering the final period.

Clay County shot 48.5% from the field including one of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Tigers connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington catholic shot 29.4% from the field including eight of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Clay County turnovers.

Whitney Belle Jackson led Clay County with 17 points and seven rebounds.  Jordan Phillips added nine points and 11 rebounds.  Kayla Smith recorded nine points and six assists.

Alex Botkin led Lexington Catholic with 15 points, nine rebounds, and six steals.  Octavia Wilson added 14 points including three three point baskets.  5-9 Sr. Cassie Williams chipped in with 10 points including three three point baskets.
