Georgetown KY February 20th - Scott County raced out to a 59-21 lead in the third quarter on their way to a 76-54 victory over Madison Central. Scott County held a 38-16 advantage in bench scoring.
Scott County shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 32.3% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Scott County turnovers.
6-8 Sr. Richie Phares led Scott County with 12 points and 13 rebounds. 6-8 Sr. Dakotah Euton added 12 points and 10 rebounds. 6-4 Jr. Chad Jacson also recorded 12 points. 6-2 Jr. Ge-Lawn Guyn and 6-2 Jr. Austin Flannery chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.
6-1 Sr. Keshawn Simpson led Madison Central with 25 points and 12 rebounds. 6-2 Sr. Vince Clay and Brenton Covington added seven points each.
