so...

i really don't know how to start this lesson.. dots is something that's.. i dunno.. natural?

if you think i mean "dot your i's and j's," or "add periods on the end of your sentence" or "use semicolons" and stuff... well, that's part of this lesson. When I mean dots...

i mean...

...

dots.

That intro paragraph thing summed up everything i'll teach you today.

First of all,

dot your eyes. haha, i did that by accident, and i didnt feel like erasing it cuz i thought it was kinda funny.. what i really mean is.. actually let me start over.

First of all, dot your i's, j's, and anything else with a "." in it. Espescially those "!"s.. if you don't dot those, they could look a lot like "|"s, but a little shorter and moved up. no one wants to see this:

dotbuddy1:Whoa Amit| You are so cool|

i'll just think you're weird if that's what i see.

to make that a better sentence say,

dotbuddy1:Whoa Amit! You are so cool! Coolest guy I know! ya man!

so that takes care of rule #1... dot your i's

Rule 2 - dot your question marks. i'll keep this brief, cuz i can't give any examples of a non-dotted "?".. the best i can do is:

dotbuddy2:What's your name, Amit(?-.)
but that's way too much of a reach to do over and over again. if i did (?-.) like 20 times..

example:
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
(?-.)
..
my fingers would hurt. and if you think i'm some sorta stupid kid cuz i just did it 20 times... think again, cuz i used Copy and Paste... so ya.. i'm not the stupid one. you don't see me going LIKE THIS 24/7!!! YA SO, I AM NOT STOOPID.. (spelling error intended so i can break rule number... one of those.. the one bout spelling stuff wrong on purpoze to be kewl)

and for those of you who didn't catch on to my advanced algebra, (?-.) means:

Question Mark minus dot equals Question Mark without a dot

next step...

Rule # 2 or 3 or something.. don't feel like scrolling back up. Chances are i haven't even been labeling my Rules.. ya.. so..

Putting periods on the end of your sentences! CRUCIAL MAN| IF YOU DONT DO THIS YOU HAVE IMPROPER ETIQUETTE FOR ALL YOUR YEARS TO COME, UNLESS YOU DECIDE TO PUT PERIODS ON YOUR SENTENCES|||| THAT WOULD SUCK, WOULDNT IT!(?-.) (many rules broken in there... about 2 or 3)

actually, it doesn't really matter about end of sentence periods. this isn't english class. only english class material you'll be using is spelling, because that'll just confuse the readers. unless.. well, read the Rules of Correkshun and stuff..

i occasionally. add periods in my sentences, and occasionally on the ends. maybe even in the wo,rd! well, that one was a comma, but you should get the idea.

but i'm not trying to get you to be like me. if the whole world tried to be like me, the whole world would have no life and the world would stop spinning cuz why spin when you have no life? i don't spin, that's for sure... and i have no life. hence me making this thing. oh.. and if the world stopped spinning, one side of the world would stay sunny FOREVER! and the other would stay moony FOREVER! we all need our share of both sunny- and moony-ness... so, please don't be like me.

Rule #.. next rule:
Colons, semicolons. dot em, or it'll just be weird.

you use colons when like defining something..
for example:
there, i just used one.. but it doesn't count.. so here's one.

the color of my hat: bluish red.. making purple, so nevermind.. i don't own a hat

Semicolons are used when you put two clauses together, two make one sentence. for example:

The cat ate a rock; the rock was cool, man

you're thinking.. when will i use this???

colondudebuddy:this is my sentence: I love apples; I love bananas.

I don't see the point of semicolons... but whatever.

anyways.. back to dots.

a colon without a dot would be like..    "." .. or a "." bout a milimeter higher... or if both dots are missing, it'd be " "...

semicolon without dots..would look like..actually screw semicolons, you don't need to use those things anyways.

next rule

the one...

you have been...

waiting....

FOR!

..

the ...
"when to use 3 dots or 4 dots or, even maybe 2! dots in a row" rule

ya.. you thought this is what this lessons was about. only this.. you were half-right, half wrong. when i teach, i make sure you know it all. you're lucky i havent figured out who invented the question mark, or you'd be learning that too.

there are many applications for "..."

if you want to put someone into a sense of suspense, you can use it. i used it earlier.. like about 3 seconds ago.. depending on how fast you read.

or you could use it instead of using commas, or periods. if you use it instead of using a period, make sure the 2 sentences in which the "..." seperates are related. for example:

Refrain:
buddy:I like apples... I flew off a plane.

Please refrain from refraining from:
buddy123421:I like apples.. they taste salty.

you coulda also used a ";" there too.. but it doesnt matter..

example bout substutuing commas:

commabuddy:if you eat a carrot.. you will attract bunnies

there ya go.. how easy is that?

super easy
