It all depends on how you look at it. Some
of the events on the TV, newspapers, online and radio are true. That death was
that greusome. That disappearance was so cruel. That dog was so cute.
That government official really did mean to keep his promises. That other one
didn't, but we can't really say because we don't have proof. Murder and abduction are, by
definition, evil. That story really was that complicated.
But sometimes you can also look at it as that offender wanted revenge. That dog
wanted to please its owner. That official wanted to run a second term because he either
really loved to help people or because being in the limelight was what mattered to him.
You can look at stories in several different ways. Some of them may be the
right, true one, and others may be the wrong, false one. You might even find yourself on
middle ground, and you either become comfortable, irritated, or indifferent to issues.
It is difficult to ascertain and stating your views will often get you in
trouble, but there is no substitute to honesty. Sometimes, your stand on issues may be the
only possession you really, truly have. Back
