| The Sturgeon View By: Benzilla First off, yes this is the exact same layout of Izzy's Column, "Izzy Speaks-You Listen!". I work in an hour and just wanted to get this up. With that out of the way, I feel I should explain the name I've given my Random column. That being this, most of the other fans who know who Dan O Mac and myself are refer to us as "The Sturgeon Bay Boys". So thus the Sturgeon View. Hearing Kyle yell to Byron to move his big ass so the Sturgeon Bay Boys can see was freakin awesome..well enough rambling, lets get this going. The Cecil show I think was one of the best that I've seen since I've started going, which was Kickoff Karnage 03 in Denmark. On all levels, the show was awesome. Some great wrestling, some damn hilarious happenings, and of course storyline...within and outside of the ring. So as far as the damn hilarious happenings go, I'd say Nick managing to somehow mis judge a jump from the apron to the floor and landing on his ass was too freakin funny, and when he called out the wrong match, that was great. I know it probably wasn't too funny in some peoples views, but hey lighten up. Horace's ketchup for blood switch...that was indeed a classic moment in the making. Seems like a simple idea, but I sure as hell couldn't stop laughing. Of course Ken's sudden thong display was a good laugh...until he continued wrestling like that, and catching Earthquake taking a picture of it was a good laugh too. Izzy getting the kiss on the cheek from Josie, and the way Byron played along with whatever we chanted at him. Like when we chanted "Byron's Got A Hard On" and sure enough, he sold it. That's what I like about ACW, the interaction between the wrestlers and the fans. I'm also looking forward to the newest tag team, which I fondly will call "Spanish Stew", Jose and Din T Moore...great chemistry for whatever reason I felt. So on the subject of chants and what not, I'm sure everyone saw on the ACW boards the whole thred about the crowds chants and how obsene they were. I see the issue, and was talking to Dan O Mac about that, how a TV station would be proud to display a show where the crowd's chanting something with the word fuck in it all the time, or the "We Love Pussy" chants to Josie...and that what I'm sure are many other "bad" chants. Perhaps a guilty conscience is making me feel like I'm in that group...I think the whole thing is a tough subject that atleast a few are going to be all pissed about. Having a loud crowd is a good thing, but I admit there was times when the crowd was too overpowering, and was really just seeing how far out there they could be. At the same time though, I was free from everything and was having a great time and if that offended anyone then I apolgize. I know that I atleast meant no harm to anyone, or ACW itself...I just wanted a good time just like the rest of those who also chanted along did. Moving out of the more ugly, if you haven't seen the card for the 17th go have a look, looks to be yet another great show...that'd be 2 in a row for January. Every single match I'm looking forward too, its an overload for the price of the ticket. The ACW Tag Title match will be awesome in its own, first because I know Byron's boy liking ways will be there, and seeing my new favorite tag team [Thanks to Culture Shock breaking up], Spanish Stew as I'm calling them, Jose and DTM. Those two I think clicked huge in Cecil, and I'm really glad there being booked again. The 3 Way Dance between the ladies...well while not knowing who the other 2 are, I'm sure Josie's looks alone will make this one a must drool...err...see. The matchup with Norwood and J-Cash, I'm intrested in seeing where the break up of Culture Shock is going and whether or not Norwood will make it on his own. The Gauntlet match, or Gannnlet as Vince Russo put it [for those who watch NWA:TNA], I think will be one of 3 big matches of the night. I know Dan O Mac's looking forward to this one with wide eyes, he loves that X-Divison. I too look forward to it, alot of great talent that's unknown to alot of people who don't watch Indy wrestling. The ACW Title match...well it's good to see that Jordan still has the title, I was getting lost there for a moment as to who had it. I just like World Champs that can hold onto it for while, instead of it being tossed show to show. Keeps the credibilty of the title alive instead of something like WWF's ol' Hardcore title. And finally the match with my favorite ACW wrestler, Horace. Horace is the man and Kruger is just a sheep fuc...well you can figure it out. And to keep up with Izzy's challange, that being to bring someone along, I've somehow convinced my mom to come along to the show on the 17th. She's intriged by the idea of tailgating at a wrestling show. I think that raps up the first Sturgeon View...hope you liked it, and if not, well atleast it killed a half hour for me.
