Firstly let us explain a little about the world of BDSM. BDSM is refered to as an alternative lifestyle, and as in other alternative lifestyles mistakes can be and often are made.However, as this lifestyle sometimes is given very bad media coverage {often you hear the words he was a Sadist or he was into bondage or such similar remarks made at various trials}it is our aim on this site to ease you through your early days.

With your safety in mind we have tried to outline most of the pitfalls you will come across,and tried to ensure that you understand that yes! there are people in this world who use our lifestyle as a means of finding targets. However the real people within this lifestyle are kind, considerate, caring and safety conscious.

We have set out in these pages to share with you some of the wealth of information that our combined experience of 50 years has taught us. Despite our many years in the scene neither of us has ever forgotten what a minefield "The Wonderful World of BDSM" can be for the ill informed.

Our aim here is to try to help new BDSMers overcome the "newbie" label and become confident members of this lifestyle, fully able to participate to whatever level they wish, both safely and without earning any unappealing reputations along the way.

On a final note let me say that, you are not alone. You are not a weirdo. You do not need to supress your feelings. The comunity in general will always endeavour to help you along the way .The BDSM road has many paths leading off it. Each one is different. Your path is your choice but, you will always meet someone on the same path as you.

To quote a phrase BDSM is like a dancefloor, there are many people doing many different dances but there is room on the floor for everyone.
