~Signs of a potential Hosting situation~

From our own experience we have found that there are several things which I and the being I host have observed which showed both myself and my Hostee that we may have been in a host situation, rather then me being insane. Please keep in mind that these are the signs which we observed in our particular situation, and your experiences might be different. We will, where ever we can, give examples of how this related to me and the being which I host.

*Gaining memories which are not your own*

If you have the experience and gain a memory which you clearly can tell is not your own, then it may be a memory of a being you are channeling or hosting. While this is a very strong sign of the presence of a hosting situation, it is also one of the hardest signs to figure out for sure. Memories are awkward, are not linear and some things which may have occurred in your lifetimes you may not recognize for years, perhaps never. So figuring out for sure if the awkward memory you have is your own or not may be difficult at times. For us this was awkward. I knew I had only been on earth once before, during Roman times, and this only for a short while. A memory from France in the 1940s was clearly not my own. There was no one with me when I got it and it was clearly not one of my lifetimes. Figuring it out made me notice that she was there and that it was her memory and not my own that I saw.

*Animals or people react differently to you and to them*

As animals, especially cats are super sensitive and more aware of subtle changes, they will oftentimes notice a switch in personality and being as a host and Hostee do, even if it is very subtle. They may react fiercer, mistrust, or be very close to a hosted being, depending on who they are and how well they work with and around animals. Babies are another good example, they will instinctively know their mother, and if another being comes to the front, the baby may make a fuss. I have seen a mother who is a host switch sides with a being she hosted and her baby instantly knew that it was not Mommy who was there anymore. For myself, every time I pet one of my cats she bites me, for *patty (name changed to protect hir), every cat in the house will gravitate towards her, never bite her, and even purr without her touching them. Even my mom's cat is unusually attracted to *patty, and the cat is one of the most antisocial pets I know.

*You feel a subtle pause while the switch is happening*

Oftentimes when you switch with a hosted being to who is up front, there is a small pause while this happens. Both outsiders and you yourselves will not miss when this is occurring. Sadly I cannot English nor put into any language what this switch feels like to us.

*You will have different likes and dislikes about different matters*

Food and dietary tastes may be very different between you and your Hostee. While you may love spicy foods, they may not be able to stand them, one of you may be a heath-nut, the other a junk food queen. Sudden changes of appetites may be an indication of a hosting situation. Especially if you like food X one hour and do not like it the next, and then like it again the next day. Look to other signs for more validation. When I at some times could eat spicy foods without them tasting spicy to the body as well as eating raw onions which I absolutely hate with a passion, it was merely *patty making me aware of both her presence and her individuality. (She tends to do that, every time I doubt the fact of the hosting Sitch, she'll do something to prove otherwise and to reassure me that I'm not insane.)

*You may have different writing styles, or write with different hands*

While you may prefer to write with the left hand your hosted spirit may write with the right hand. Or sie may not write in English, or perhaps only her handwriting will be different from yours in some form or way. This one was strange for us. She has a more cursive and prettier style of handwriting than my own "chicken scratch." She also tends to be a better speller and writer then me.

*You are individual people, individual souls. *

You may at times be vehemently opposed to being counted as or seen as one person. While you are sharing one body and will seem as only one being to the outside world, a lot of those in hosting situations will do many things, however subtle, to show the world that there is a difference between those souls who reside in the body. Oftentimes it's shown in simple ways, such as a tendency of one being to be drawn to a certain style of dress, to other oddities. One may spell better than the other, or use different slangs/dialects or something similar. Everyone usually has had a different past, not always human either. While this may seem confusing at first to outside observers, these little tendencies will, when shown, enable those in a hosting situation to notice that this is what they may be going through. In our situation at the first few months while I was back at my mothers house again every time *patty was up front it seemed to my Mom as if I was on drugs. I knew I was not on any drugs, but my Mom could not figure out how this change occurred. The spirit I host was much more soft spoken then me, would not lose her temper no matter how much teased by her, and all cats seemed to drift around her. Not at all like me for those who know me, and several around us mentioned this to us.

*Different or mixed energy signatures*

For those who may be metaphysically inclined those who are in hosting situations will oftentimes have different energy signatures. Sometimes they may be meddled and mixed, depending on how much of each beings awareness is up front. So between mine and hers, people may either get mostly hers, mostly mine or a mix of different amounts of both of us. Even some of those who are not energetically inclined can sometimes say that being around the individuals just "feels" different.
