Cigar Butt is one of the patterns that can be found in Dick Stewart and Farrow Allen's fine book, Flies for Steelhead and other fly tying publications. I show it here because it perhaps the simplest form of the bomber and thus one of the easiest to tie. It can also be tied with a throat of stiff moose hair. To see more flies in the series, return to Favorite Surface Flies for Steelhead.
