"Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. began in Savannah, Georgia, in 1912 with a troop of only 18 girls. Today, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. is the world's largest organization for girls, with over 2.5 million enrolled. Five program age levels are offered for girls 5 through 17. More than 40 million American women have been members of the Girl Scouts since its founding.
Girl Scouting today provides a safe, supportive way for girls to participate in projects involving computers and technology, careers, the environment, personal finance, and sports."-from the GSUSA website

thoughts: I am a little biased by this organization- I have been a Girl Scout since I was 5 (I am also a life long member)~crystal
