The master bedroom had water damage to the walls and floors under the front windows. The window sill had to be replaced. The plaster and lath of all the exterior walls was removed and insulation added. Drywall was hung. We had to refinish the floors before the painting was done so that the floors had enough time to dry before moving day. We were down to crunch time at this point and we barely had enough time to paint before we had to move out of the old house. My Mom helped a lot with the painting and she kept looking around the house with a doubtful expression "When are you supposed to move in?" But somehow, we managed, in spite of the snow and ice on moving day.
