Part 6 By Dian
Heading down the stairs quietly Dian entered the other room where Angel was hanging her cloak on the wall hook. Stepping up right behind Angel Dian tapped her on the shoulder. Startled Angel quickly turned around to see a glowing Dian. “What happened to you?” Angel asked in a worried voice.
“Calm down Angel I told you I was going after the kings Sunfire stone and well this is what it does. Oh it also turns me invisable according to ledgend but I haven’t figured out how to make that part work yet. So what do you think?”
“Dian you are glowing green are you sure this is a good thing?”
“Well yeah see it enhances my vision during the night. Now only if I could get the invisable thing working here it would be great.”
“Dian stop and think about this you are glowing.”
“Yeah we already covered that Angel,” I said looking at her.
“Can you shut it off?”
Taking the Glogem out of her pouch Dian placed it on the table. She emditly stopped glowing. The gem turned a firey orange than a red color then seemed to turn off. “Better?” Dian asked Angel.
“Yeah much better. So tell me everything that happened while you were at the palace,” Angel said ancusly.
“Well first off when I was going through looking for it I was cuaght by some very stupid gaurds. They acuased me of working with some little theif. Who claimed he was Autolycus king of theives. He was also after the gem. So after we were thrown in the dungeon I picked the lock and we split he went one way I went another and then after I had made my way up the secret stairways to the treasure room and gotten the gem. He showed up with the guards after him again. So being nice I saved his butt from the guards. So then when I got back up to the main level I pushed open the back entrance doorway and took off into the marketplace leaving that would be theif behind. So like I said no problems,” Dian recieted.
“Okay first question how did you know about the secret stair ways?”
“Oh me and Andy used to play in the palace. It was a game we would get caught then we would break out and steal a piece of treasure on our way out. I’m surprised Bruno didn’t recognize me. I mean he was the one that cuaght me all the time and he was the one that caught me today,” Dian said as she pondered the thought.
“When was the last tiem you were there?”
“Umm about 2 years ago why?”
“Well your looks have changed a little since you joined the temple,” Angel said thoughfuly.
“Yeah that’s probably it,” Dian admitted. “So what’s your next question?”
“Oh yeah what did this Autolycus look like?”
“Hmm Brown hair about 5’ 8 maybe a little taller green eyes, and kinda old about in his 30’s. Why?”
“Because you just did discribe the king of theives. I know he has visited the temple a lot before. Ares doesn’t like him much.”
Dian’s mouth dropped. “Of all the stories I had heard of him I thought he would have been.. Well smarter.” “But Angel we need to get to sleep We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow when we return to the temple.”
“Yeah I’m beat. I could really go for a nice soft bed right now,” Angel said as she headed into one of the bedrooms in back
