Part 3 by Dian

Dian pushed herself away from the bar and looked at Mik. “So he sent you to find out that I was visiting some friends. While Angel here was helping people here in Balow?” Dian asked. “Basically, so do I get to hang around and visit with you two while you do what your doing?” Mikalus asked sweetly. “No but you can go tell Ares what you found out and maybe he’ll leave us alone,” Dian suggested. “Meany,” the assasin said as he stood and gathered Dian in his arms. “Let go of me,” Dian told him. “Not till you oplige for telling me to get lost.” “Okay, Wait I didn’t tell you to get lost exactly just to go relay a message to Ares.” “Nice try sweets but I want to hear that oplogy before I let you go.” Dian wiggled out of his arms. Then said, “I never oplogize.” Mik reached out for her but she was faster then him and moved out of the way. “I’ll tell yah what I’ll give you a hug if you go tell Ares what I told yah.” “Hmmm,” he replied. There wasn’t much to be offered to him in a hug. Although he might get to see Callisto if he went back to the temple. “How about I just go back any ways?” “Okay,” Dian replied. She stepped to him hugged the assasin. “There now get lost. We’ll be back to the temple soon,” she told him as she kicked the chari beside her as she sat back down. She hated it when unwanted friends dropped in but oh well she also loved seeing them so she really couldn’t say anything about them being there. After Mik had left Dian decieded that it was time for AresAngel to find a new place with more people to rob. “Angel want to go to Athens?” Dian asked as she turned to Angel. “Oh sure why not, but what’s in Athens?” she asked. “Oh just a bunch of really rich people and a nice sunfire stone pendent I wouldn’t mind having,” Dian said letting the real reason slip out. “What’s a sunfire stone?” angel asked suspisously, “And who owns it?” “Well you see a sunfire stone is a bright yellow color that has swirls of orange and red that move through it when the sun hits it. As for who owns it the King of Athens,” Dian said with a smile. “What? Steal from a king? Are you out of your mind D.?” Andy asked me. “Oh your not inludsed in it I want the stoine and plan to get it cuase I always get what I want,” she replied sticking out her tongue at Andy like a spoiled child would do. “Dian I’m not so sure about the sunfire stone but as for the bigger purses sure I need more practice any way,” Angel admitted. “Angel don’t worry I’ll think it over a couple times before I really decid on it,” Dian said as she got up. “It’s time I fed Morning Star any ways, and what about Marlon would her be hungry?” It was noon by the time Dian and Angel got to Athens. “Here is where you begin your real training. No more goofing around if you are caught here there is no one to bail yah out Angel. “Well maybe Ares but that would mean yah haven to call him here” Be careful,” Dian said as the two spit up. Dian was headed for the palace and Angel was headed to the market place. “I will be and I won’t get caught this time,” Angel said over her shoulder to Dian. Angel was swept up into a crowd of people all headed to the marketplace. Dian on the other hand would have to impervise there was no one on the road to palace. Dian looked the palace over. The guards were posting in every tower so trying to get up the wall was no use. So Dian sat down and waited. It didn’t take long for some of the guards to change shifts and others to fall asleep. Dian quickly as she could scaled the wall and was over the top. When she looked down at the other side she realized she had picked a bad spot to come over at. It was a 20 foot drop off with no other way down. So Dian just let herself drop. To her luck a driver had just backed his wagon of hay into the spot where Dian would have hit and she did and went straight through the bottom of the wagon because of the force of impact she had had. Dian crawled out from under the wagon and was in a little luck the driver was talking to the guards and their backs were turned to her. She sprinted off into the palace. If she was right the sunfire stone would be on the second level and then through the treasure room to the back and on a pedistal. Or at least that’s what everyone who had seen it had said. Dian skidded to a stop right before she entered the throne room. There on the throne was the king. “Drat. Couldn’t he have found a better time to be here,” Dian thought to herself. Suddenly there were guards everywhere. They entered through one of the many doors around the room. Between to guards was a man. “Not very young, but very cute,” Dian thought to herself, “he looks a little like Andy.” “To your knees,” barked one of the guards who was holding the man. “Why do you bother me with trash?” the king demanded of his guards. “My lord this thief was in your treasure room trying to take your stone,” the second guard explained. “Which stone you fools?” “The sunfire stone.” “Bring him here,” The king said as he stood. The thief was dragged up and made to stand in front of the king. “Who are you to dare to steal my stone?” The king demanded. “Who me?” the thief asked as though he was amused by the scene,” I am Autolycus King of thieves.” “That’s why he looks like Andy,” Dian thought. She wasn’t paying to much attention to her surroundings because she was grabbed from behind and pushed out into the throne room. “Here is his little acomplis,” the guard said as he dragged Dian over to the king. “Let me go,” Dian told him. “Who are you?” the king and Autolycus said at once. “There oes your idea of me being his acomplis,” Dian told the guard. “Maybe not,” said the king. “How did you get in here and why?” “I am the duaghter of Kenya and was sent her to tell you that she wants the sunfire stone,” Dian said as she got free of the guard’s grasp. “Kenya what does Kenya plan to do with it?” The king demanded, “She is defently working with him take them to the dungeon.” “You’ll be sorry,” Dian told them with a grin. Once in the dungeon Auto turned to her and asked, “Did you really think they would buy that kenya thing?” “Why not,” Dian asked as she sat down. “Mother come here at once,” Dian thought. “Yes?” Kenya asked appearing in the cell. “Who are you?” Auto asked her. “I’m Kenya her mother,” she replied. Kenya was wearing a blue silk dress that flowed around her like water her blue hair was done up in a high ponytail with ringlets falling down. “Mother I want the sunfire stone and they didn’t believe me when I said it was for you,” Dian told her mother. “Hmm they didn’t believe. Hon refresh my memory when did I send you after this stone?” Kenya asked. “Yah didn’t but that’s not the point,” Dian told her mother. “Then what did you call m for?” Kenya asked. “To tell you that they didn’t believe me and to prove a point to him,” Dian said waving her hand in Auto’s direction. “Bye mother you may leave,” Dian added. “What ever stay out of trouble will you,” her mother said then disappeared. “Now,” Dian said pulling out a set of lock picks from her hiding place in her boot, “I am getting out of here.” Dian quickly picked the lock and was on her way back up the rear stairs to where ever they lead then back to her quest in finding that sunfire stone. “Why do you want the stone?” Auto asked as he followed her. “Because its one of a kind and there is a myth about it,” Dian told him as she ran. “Oh what myth?” Auto asked. “What were you only in it for the money?” Dian asked, “This just goes to show I should have it.” “No way it’s mine little girl,” Auto said as he disappeared through a doorway. “I guess I should have told him which door leads where on these stairs,” Dian thought as she pushed open a door on the 3rd level and then took the set of steps from there back down to the treasure room she had been in this palace before. It had been one of her training spots with Andy. To get caught then to get the treasure and out. Dian appeared at the back of the treasure room. The guards were out in front of the doors. She quickly took the stone and headed toward the right of the room and pushed on the lower wall part which opened up to reveal another set of stairs. Dian slipped in and shut the door and was on her way out when she heard a clammering from behind her. She set the stone down and started back up. At the top of the stairs she could hear the guards yelling to get some one while they stubbled around. Dian lifted the wall up a little looked out into a room full of guards who were bumping into each other looking for Auto. Dian spotted him not more then a foot away. She grabbed him and pulled him inside the wall. “Woo where am I?” he asked as Dian started back down the old steps. Dian bent and picked up the stone. “You are in the old stair ways they run al over the palace. I was trained her at this palace so I know every nock and cranny,” Dian told him as she stepped to the right onto another staircase. “trained in what?” he asked. “Thievery and unlike today they would never have caught me.” “Who taugh you?” he asked as he came up beside her. “Well as tale goes your son Andy,” Dian told him as she reached the bottom step and pushed open the wall infront of her. She went straight off into the marketplace not even bothering to look back at the thief. Auto had closed the wall and started after Dian when he lost her in the crowded marketplace.
