About T.B.F.A.

The Texas Blown Fuel Association was formed by Rick Grindstaff, Chris Graves & Keith Breazeal in the fall of 2009. The effort of forming the T.B.F.A. was to give racers who crave driving blown drag racing machines an affordable, well respected and professional racing series; all while continuing to embrace the glory days of the sport fielding nostalgic front engine dragsters, fuel altereds and funny cars from across the southwest.

"The idea of TBFA is to go fast, but have reasonable costs associated with Drag Racing. TBFA was established with this purpose in mind. The other motive behind TBFA is for community outreach. We are believers in helping folks less fortunate than ourselves and want to give back something to the community. We will be donating any left over proceeds to the Shriners Burn Hospitals. They treat children with critical care needs at no cost to the families. We are also asking our track operators to get into the spirit of giving by donating small portions of the gate proceeds to the Shriners Burn Hospitals also. We can truly make a difference in kids lives and have a blast doing it. Please help us help the kids, and let's go racing!" says Grindstaff.

Entering the 2012 season and third year as a series, the TBFA has blossomed into a main attraction in the region's nostalgia drag racing scene and continues to attract more participants. Check our schedule and come join us at one of our eight races this season either at North Star Dragway, Texas Raceway, San Antonio Raceway or Tulsa Raceway Park. Feel free to chat with our members at the track, we are all a friendly bunch who love fan participation and are at the track to put on a show for you in a fashion on the T.B.F.A. can bring! See you at the races!
