Lindberg Rd. - On Lindberg rd. down towards Alex Pike. There is a supposed haunted house. It has a partially caved in roof. Neighbors say they have heard strange hiss-like sounds coming from the house. Me and a friend have broken into it before and we did a little research. Supposedly the house was caught on fire close to 20 years ago with the family still in it. All of them escaped except for the middle son, whom supposedly haunts the house. The floor caves in, in many areas of the house and there's ashes all over the place. Supposedly no body was ever found of the boy. Few eye witnesses have supposedly seen a ghost like chandelier hanging even when part of the ceiling is missing. Typical paranormal activity happens such as moving old lamps and such. The biggest spook is that when the wind blows, it will draw pictures in the ashes of a family and house. All the people you can see but the middle sons picture has a hand print over it instead of being drawn.

Mounds State Park - Some people have reported encountering blue-gowned dwarves in the park and nearby along the White River at Loblesville. According to Delaware Indian legend, they are the Puk-wud-ies, a tribe of little people that still inhabit the forest.

Old Anderson High School - the haunting is in two different places but due to the fire that happened there the older half is no longer there.  In the basement of the gym you can hear screams of a young girl there due to the fact she was raped and killed there. And if you go and sit to watch a movie you will hear a sobbing man, but there wonít be anyone sitting behind you, just rows of seats, and maybe a red bearded man.

Wing Haven Nature Preserve - for the last 25-30 years there have been rumors that a coven of witches conducted a ritual there, and accidentally released a spirit or demon(?)  The spirit or demon is contained in the stream, but if you get too close to the stream it attempts to make contact with you.  Some people have claimed to have had unexplained flat tires, or electrical problems with their cars if they park their cars past the public parking lot.  Some people have claimed that they have had suicidal or violent urges while standing near the stream or looking into the stream.

The Haunted Bridge - a railway bridge over White Lick Creek.  The ghost of an Irish worker who was killed many years is said to haunt the remains of this old railroad trestle in Central Indiana.  He was one of many Irish workers who were hired cheap to help build a bridge across White Lick Creek back in the 1850's.  The workers were building pylons that would support the bridge and doing this by framing up the sides of a base and pouring concrete inside.  One afternoon, a wooden platform collapsed and dumped one of the workers into the wet cement.  He slowly sank into the pylon and the other workers could hear his fists hammering against the wooden sides as he drowned.  There had been nothing that could have been done to save minute he was there and the next he had vanished! Construction was delayed for several hours while the company tried to decide what to do.  Finally, they declined to tear the pylon apart to find the body of a man who was obviously dead and work continued, despite the protests of some of the more superstitious workers.  For some years after that, local residents reported the sounds of the man's final screams as he pitched into the concrete.  They also claimed, along with a number of railroad men, that the sounds of hammering could be heard coming from inside the concrete pylon.  After the trestle was torn down many years later, people started to report the apparition of the man could be seen wandering the area, trying to flag down oncoming trains.

If you get out of your car and scream bloody murder into the night sky he will track you down and drag your body into his domain where you will be eaten bones and all. 100 Step Cemetery - At midnight, if you walk up the stairs on the grassy side of the cemetery, there are graves dating back to the 1860s all around. On one's way up you count the steps. When you reach the top, you must turn toward the open field and the ghost of the cemetery's first undertaker will appear. Without saying anything he will reveal the climbers own death to them in a vision. The hiker MUST proceed down the steps, counting them again. If they do not get the same number as they counted before then they will die the way they saw but if they do the vision was wrong. If anyone dares to try to reach the top or level ground by not using the steps, they will be pushed to the ground by a phantom hand which will leave a red imprint on the persons back for several days so those who see it can see the mark of the Devil.  Another version goes like this, Carpenter's Cemetery lies just west of 340 and US 40 on CR 675. Locally it is better known as 100 steps. Legend has it that, on the darkest nights when you can't see your hand in front of you, you can walk up the broken steps of this cemetery and count 100 steps. As you walk down, you can count only 99. Its a hard trick to do when there are only 60 or so steps there any other time. The night must be total and you must not be able to see where you step. Legend tells of those trying to walk beside the steps on the ground and of people being knocked down hard to the ground with handprints appearing on their chest. The legend continues that if you are able to safely navigate the steps in the pitch of darkness and make the magical count, then that night before the rise of the sun, the spirit of the original caretaker will make known to you the manner of your death.

This church is on 300 w. the other way from spook light

Then the graffiti will start to glow and blood will run down the walls. If you see your name on the wall, banging on the windows and the roof of the car will start. After it stops, start car again and go through. There is a tree and you will see (if you see your name on the wall) two kids hanging from the tree, but don't stay to look around go fast cause after you see your name your supposed to die.   There are seven different bridges in that area and you are supposed to drive through all of these bridges starting by going down Coal Bluff Rd. and at the end of driving through all 7, you look back and you will see Hell's Gates closing behind you.

There will be an old shed on the left side of the road here. Take the lane back and you will discover the front wall of an old home (the rest has been demolished), several sheds, and a barn or two. They call them "Shadow Beasts." They also said that they witnessed more than one, and that they were much more interactive.   But the strangest thing is that this figure absorbs light...when you attempted to disprove this "thing" by thinking it's just-another-bush theory, shine your headlights in the direction of the known bush, and the unknown shadow. The bush was immediately illuminated and confirmed of it's nature, the shadow, seemed to disappear completely. Then as you drive away, it will be there again, running right along with you.

One example, not mentioning the name, a girl who died, came back to be remembered. A day after her death, in class, a boy took her original seat and fell off. To everyone's surprise, they asked him if he was alright. He then replied, in a shocked look, "No, not really." The teacher asked why. He replied back "I didn't fall, I was pushed."  However, some former students say that this story is not true and they have never heard of this incident happening.

Cement House - This house is on the south side of Fort Wayne that is also called Whites Mansion.  It sits on an old lot full of thick trees off of South Lafayette, or South Hanna.  It must have been sitting there for at least 65 or 70 years by now. He whipped off his belt and ran down the stairs with his belt raised over his head ready to swing it. There is a door that always must remain open if it is shut when you walk away and come back it is always open. Some workers have seen some blurry object touch there hand, and feel something touch their shoulders.  Then there is the 3rd floor, there isn't much in there, and some say it's the most haunted part of the jail. There is supposed to be a woman's ashy foot prints on the wall, but there is nothing that could cause ash to be up there.  One night one of the workers had set his keys down stairs and took his girlfriend up to the 3rd floor, he had told her not to say abbagail (Charles Butler's, the murderer, wide that he murdered) three times, though she did. When they went back down stairs, every light was off and his keys were laying on the floor.

The building stood for a while but now all that stands is the chimney. people who go there for a "spook show" are run off by the ghost of this woman because she feels like they are no better than the teens that killed her. There was no new house built on her hill. Shine your flashlight down the staircase and you can see the end, but when you start walking down, turn it out. It has to remain out. As you walk down the stairs, it gets colder and colder, and more unsettling, but you can NEVER reach the end. You can keep walking for a long time and never reach the basement at all. But no matter how long it takes you to walk as far as you dare, when you turn around to go back upstairs, it only takes a fraction of the time to get back to the staircase. One witness reports, ""We walked downstairs for 20 minutes once, and it only took us 3 minutes to get back to the top again. Before the university came to be as we know it today, the Patawatami Indians lived their lives along the shores of what is now known as the St. Joseph River . They buried their dead in the area and some of their dead still seem to be around. Washington Hall now houses the university dramatic theater, but it once served as a dormitory for the one and only George Gipp. Gipp was known as a wonderful football player, and something of a gambler. His ghost is said to haunt the stage and greenrooms.  Also known to haunt Washington Hall is that of a steeplejack who fell from scaffolding during the hanging of the lights.  Columbus Hall dates to the beginning of the university's infancy. My mother said she sat up, but the girl didn't vanish, she just turned back and walked into the kitchen. My mother said she had on a white dress with and dark brown ringlet curls. My sister woke up one night to find a ghost of a older lady hovering over her in bed. She said she tried to scream but nothing would come out. Finally she muttered out a help, and the lady vanished. Both of my sisters said they would constantly hear noises in the upstairs bedroom the slept in, including doors opening and closing on their own. My parents' bedroom was also underneath my sisters bedroom. Several times, my parents heard loud noises, that they thought were my sisters moving furniture around, but when the went to check they would be sleeping. There were also two occasions where my mom had been coming down the steps (once coming from the upstairs to downstairs, and once going down to the basement) where she felt like someone kicked her in the back and she fell down the stairs, but no one was there. My mother did sprinkle holy water around the house a few times. After that, she never saw anymore ghosts, but the noises still continued
