The Odernan By Jose R. "The Captain"The Odernan are a VERY violent and hostile race of aquatical creatures that look like the cross of amollusk and a squid with a strong bony shield protecting almost all of their body only with holes for the mouth and other oriffices physically important. Their lives are dominated with the idea of expanding across the Universe (they've very complex and interesting reproductive rituals;one of them is the basis for their warship), annihilating another sentient lifeforms if neccesary. What they want is Earth-like planets with big oceans. Once they found it they launch into the oceans species animal and vegetal of their homeworld. That species probably will end with the native lifeforms of the oceans of the planet converting it in a copy of their planet. Warship: The Odernan flagship is a huge, well armored,but not very maneuverable and very slow. They use two powerful short-ranged auto-guided blasters (a combination of a laserand a particle cannon) for defense. However, they favorite attack is to ram an enemy. With the aid of auxiliary high-power thrusters, they accelerate reaching a very high velocity for ram the enemy vessel. Although they may cause A LOT of damage even to a mighty ship like the Dreadnought, the problem is their vessel also suffers damage making the next ram less efficient... |
