Blizzard's Greet Bot
Greetbot is a rudimentary bot which hangs out in a channel and says "Hi!" to people as they enter the channel. It should serve as a good starting point for those who want to write their own bots. Blizzard's bot uses an experimental Battle.net gateway, which is tentatively available for public use (e.g. webmasters can write CGI scripts to query for the latest stats, users can write bots to help protect their channels, etc.) To get you started, Blizzard has released the C++ Source Code for GreetBot.
