There a very good strategy tip over at Shafe's by Jon Solo. If you like playing the "Island Hop" map or have probs with those type maps, this one is worth a few secs to read.A Brood War Petition??
WTF is this??? Hitting my daily sites, SC Infinity pointed out this petition started by Silent Bob (aka Deathwing -check the host ID) to include Infoceptor in the beta. And Infoceptor is bilking it for all it's worth. Now I respect Infoceptor, but this doesn't fly. Anyone with a SC site wants in the Beta, me included. Hell my name is even on the list! But as I've received no confirmation yet I am having to come to terms with the possibility that it is another person with the same name that made the beta and not me. To add to my suspense I'm having Email probs :( If it's true what Bob/Deathwing says about SC.Org and Legacy 'silently' being in the beta that's not cool either. Everyone knows those sites will have beta testers lined up to feed them info by the tons. I have to agree with Dioxide's views and this post by Pyre Light. Sorry Infoceptor but I can't support your petition, your logic or your tactics.Very Little Beta News
While scanning the forums for Blizzaed posts I came on a little info. Basically, the beta will be just like the SC Beta, no single play options will work, play will be over b.net only, cd's will be mailed to the testers along with a unique cd key, and there is no NDA to stop people from reporting info to sites. Rumors speculate the beta will only last 2 weeks as this is an expansion not a full game. Oh and I saw a hint that Shlonglor may add sounds to the Brood War page, but first he has to get some final versions of the sounds.2 on 2 SC Tournament
Planet Review is having a 2 on 2 Tournament over b.net. It will begin as soon as the 64 team slots are filled. Prizes will be awarded (currently they're considering a copy of Brood War for the winning team) . It's on a first come basis so register now. Check out Planet Review for more info.

SCM of the Week
Blizzard's latest scm is a 192x192 Ash World map for 2-4 players. Here's this weeks teaser : When volcanic forces tear a planet apart, it twists the surface world into unrecognizable and bizarre shapes. The planet Wotan II was once a peaceful agrarian world until a confederate extremist detonated a Mercer class doomsday device deep within the planet's core. The explosion brought forth to the surface the natural riches of this world and now many factions struggle to survive the fiery surface long enough to harvest the treasures that this world has to offer. SC Unit v1.2
Camelot Systems has re-uploaded SCUnit v1.2 as many ppl were unable to download it. This should fix any problems so if you've been unable to get it, try again now. King Arthur has also updated the StarDraft FAQ to include a ton of new info. Check it out if your having probs with StarDraft.

Some Cool Stuff from Infoceptor
First they've released StarEdit Customer Patch v1.1 . This Patch allows you to use all the AI scripts including Insane and Shareware. Use all the hidden units in SC and change the names of heroes and units. Also fixes the Player Setting's bug in earlier versions. Created by BeeWarlock. Grab it here. (35kb) Next they've got two new Custom Graphics up that are very cool looking. The Zealot Lightening Fist (covers the Zealot in lightening when he attacks) and the Marine Bullet (adds bullet rounds to the Marine). Hackings Abound
I recieved an email from King Arthur of Camelot Systems saying that all the War.Zone sights have been hacked and a message put up. After deleting the message 4 times the hacker said that if they didn't leave the post up, he'd post porn at their sites. Due to this you may see some weird posts at the war.zone sites today. They also think the hacker is someone inside of War.zone. :\
