FFVII Goes Gold
The PC version of Final Fantasy VII has gone gold and should be in stores June 26th. It will ship on 4 cd's and cost should be just under $50.00(US)New Poll

GameSpot has this announcement today :Our massive Starcraft guide is now available for download. Get mission walk-throughs, cheat codes and general strategies in this searchable, printable guide. Cost is $4.95If u don't want to spend the 4.95 for the downloadable strat guide, or u want to check it out b4 u buy it, i'm pretty sure the same strat guide is here at GameSpot for free and u could print out just the sections u want. Warning tho, be prepared to spend a few mins looking for what u want to print.
CGW SC Strat Tips

Camelot Systems has just uploaded a new version of the SCuM Specs sheet which includes about 90% of the SCuM Format deciphered, including part of the Trigger section. :) They've've also been able to dissect the graphics format for StarCraft. You can find the specs here. They'll be working on the palette format next. Thanks for the info King Arthur

I don't know when this was put up, but i stopped by the Mirabilis home page today and found it. In the letter they explain their reasons for selling, call AOL their partners, and say "Because AOL has asked us to continue to run the service exactly as before, we don't intend to make any changes in our policies. Saw this was over at PC Gamer today :"We changed our minds." That was the word today from id Software's top wizard, John Carmack, as he announced that the game ideas behind Quake III have been discarded in favor of something he calls 'Quake Arena'.This next installment in id's long line of first person shooters will be a multiplayer only game, including such modifications as capture the flag and other styles of gameplay as well as the traditional deathmatch. Carmack said further that the solitary game will only be a tournament style ladder competition played against computer-controlled 'bots.

He's holding the soulstone, the hole in his head where it once was is healing, and his lips are sewn shut... Although he throws the soulstone in the mud at the end, his eyes glow... Middle Earth
I reported some time ago that Sierra would be developing Middle-earth, an on-line multiplayer RPG based on Tolkien's popular books. If u ever read any Tolkien, then u probably have visions of how this game should be. Well nows your chance. Vault Network has a Middle-earth Development Board and the game developers come by regularly and read the suggestions, make comments and post info on the game. Check it out here. EGN, the new ICQ ?
- ScumRunners has added 7 new maps today. You can grab them in here. Newest maps are on the top of the list.
- Aderrasi's .scum Depot - Saw over at Lan's Billboard that Aderrasi, a friend of his, has made some SC maps. Lan says Aderrasi knows his stuff, and i trust Lan's judgement. Wonder if this is the same Aderrasi from the Diablo forums?? If so, all i can say is " COOL, glad to see your still around! " Anyway download the maps here. He recommends the Abandoned Shrine and Weird Shrine maps.

Brood War Video Review
Lan came thru ! * shouts "My Man!!!" * hehehe :) After 5 tries he finally got a workable d/l and has a great review up at StarShack. He takes u from beginning to end of the video and it sounds kick!! Read Lan's review here. 5 tries!!! Seems Gamespot didn't notice the whole file didn't transfer. They've corrected the prob now, so Download the video here. This is a 34.4MB download so be prepared for 3 hours with a 28k modem. But hey, according to Lan it's worth it!RTS Mania is Today !

GameSpot has got hold of the 3D trailers for D2 and Brood War. I hear they ROCK! The movie-quality trailers weigh in at 27.9 and 34.3 megabytes respectively and contain embedded video players.Diablo II is the sequel to Blizzard's hit action role-playing game. The intro picks up where the original Diablo left off, and sets the stage for the evil king's revival even as it introduces an all new setting for the adventure.
