How a fight scene will go.

Fights will have their own board, along with the I.C. and O.O.C. boards. when a fight begins, the thread in the ic board will be locked and moved to the battle board.

To start the fight, the Kai will determine initative and it will be the first post on the Battle Board. Then the characters will post their actions and the Kai will compare character stats along with a die roll( we will be using a dice roller program ) The winner of the action will be the one who gets the highest #, defender wins all ties.

We will also be using Status and Power bar pics. So you can keep track of how much energy and health you and your opponent have. The Power bar will not be seen until some characters can sense power. Until then only the Health status will be used.

    Health and Power bar status.
To indicate how much damage you have taken or energy you have used, we will be using colors to indicate status and some statuses will grant bonuses or give penalties. Here are the colors and there corresponding modifiers.

Blue- Fully healed or at Full Power. Characters at this level gain a +2 Bonus on all checks.
Green- Minor damage or have used some of your Energy. Grants no bonus or penalty.
Yellow- Major damage or running out of power. Characters gain a -2 penalty to all checks due to bodily harm or exaustion.
Red- Near dead or power is almost gone. Characters at this level gain a -4 penalty to all checks due to the beatdown put on them or the use of nearly all their power.

Note- Status bonuses and penalties are applied for health status only.

    Power Bars

Each character will have 2 bars as their graphical representation of Power available and Power that has been drawn to use, aka. Power up. As a character draws power their total power decreases and there power up bar increases. A character only has access to the energy in the power up bar. The only exception to this is that physical attacks use a small amount of energy as well, but no power up is needed. All Ki attacks and abilities that require power will draw that power from your power up bar.

    Power and your character

As a character gains Xp. it gets transferred to Power stat, so in effect your Power is like your Xp. total. As you gain power your character gains levels.( as seen on the character sheet ) Once you've gained enought Xp., your level goes up. Every level you gain you get Cp. to spend on abilities and powers. Also, as your base stats go up, your character gets stronger and faster with each new level. But the way you handle your levels in a fight can determine the outcome. I'm using a free floating level system. Meaning if you have a level 30 character you don't have to fight at that level and it may not be preferable to. The level that you fight at also determines the experience your opponent gains from this fight. You see as your character uses so much power his/her effective fighting level drops. Ex. a Saiyan warrior level 20 has 8500 Power lvl. Once he has used 500 of that energy he drops a level to 19 and has only 8000 power left. and it is a decending spiral down from there. So your power is also like endurance as you fight you get worn out and thus fight more inefficiently. Ok, so we have the same saiyan Lvl.20 and he decided to begin his fight at a level of 15. the max power of that level is 6000. Also the only way for an opponent to tell you have more power is with a sucessfull sense power check. But the real reason to fight at a lower power is that it will take much longer to feel the effects of the energy drain. and limit you opponents garnered Xp.

Power loss due to damage- I am currently using a loss of energy = current damage every 4 combat rounds. What does that mean? The more damage taken burns Power at a faster rate until you have none left. Thus leaving you vulnerable.( that's one reason the Android Unlimited Energy is so wicked. )

    Severing, Impaling and Total Annihilation.

To sever a characters arm, leg, head, ect, or blow through them with a Ki blast or punch, It requires you do enough damage to reduce your opponent to 0 or less Hp. before defenses are added. To totaly annihilate a character you must do 2x the opponents Hp before defenses. Note- this is the only way to prevent a character who has Rank3 Regen. from coming back.
