Character Classes:
Warrior Trained alone or in a group, Warriors will take apprenticeship to a more experience fighter. Warriors are talented with most weapons of combat, and prefer lighter armor. Able to work alone, or in groups, warriors are very versatile fighters.
Knight Trained by a king for protection, Knights are heavily armored and prefer a sword and lance to other conventional weapons. They can lead men into battle, or work alone. Masters of strategy, most opponents would rather not challenge a Knight.
Paladin Similar to knights, but trained by the church, these warriors work for god. Although always attempting to do the greater good, they can be swayed by their beliefs. Nonetheless, an extremely strategic and fearless fighter, Paladins are ones to be feared.
Soldier The standard trooper, a soldier is used to working in a group and taking orders. Although when alone a soldier is not too great of an enemy, they are seldom alone, and thus are a very powerful force. Usually the workhorses of an army, soldiers are expected to know more than just fighting. It takes a lot to disturb a soldier, who has seen many atrocities through war. Loyalty is prized above all else.
Barbarian Warriors of Strength, Barbarians are among the strongest of the classes. They prefer clubs or huge battle-axes to most weapons, but are adept at many different types. Although not the best at strategy, a barbarians raw strength and bravery more than make up for it. A barbarian will not back down from any foe, and prefers to be working alone, but will fight in groups.
Mercenary Much like a soldier, a mercenary is less trained, yet better able to adapt to situations. They usually work in groups, doing jobs which are dubious in nature. Many an unwary traveler has found himself the victim of a mercenary's ambush. Preferring small, localized groups with individual leaders, mercenaries owe allegiance to only others in their band.
Assassin Warrior of the night, an assassin uses stealth and speed instead of strength and steel. An Assassin will rarely kill for his own benefit, but rather gets paid to do the job. Utilizing lighter weapons and various poisons, Assassins are quite inventive with their methods of dispatchment.
Ninja Masters of night and silence, ninja's are highly trained, highly versatile fighters. Working alone or in small groups, ninjas can dispatch a much greater force by studying their enemies for weak points, and precisely timed attacks. They are masters of lighter blades, and throwing weapons, with impeccable accuracy.
Thief Trained by themselves or in a guild, thieves are fast and silent. Preferring to be there and gone without notice, a thief will usually only kill when it is deemed necessary. He robs for himself or his guild, and has a high degree of loyalty amongst other thieves. Although sometimes hired, thieves usually only gain through personal jobs, and prefer it that way. It is not the pay but the excitement which attracts a thief.
Rogue Masters of the bow, Rogues can be quite deadly. Using the javelin, throwing knives or axes, or the bow, one rogue can easily dispatch a number of highly trained enemies. Usually training in groups, rogues often work in small bands, but rarely work with just rogues. A great addition to any group, Rogues are sought after by many kings to serve in armies. Rogues prefer smaller outfits, sometimes with under five other fighters in it.
Priest Servants of the gods, priests are great with offering faith. Excellent for dispatching undead enemies, priests are often sought after before venturing into the darker places of the world. With the blessings of the gods, priests usually have great luck, and can often live through extremely deadly situations. Respected the world over, men will usually avoid killing a priest.
Druid Much like priests, but with a different mindset, druids are great hand-to-hand combatants, and often have animal partners. Being priests of nature, the creatures of nature will often do their best to protect druids and warn them of danger. A druid tries to avoid combat, but will always do what he must.
Seer With very little fighting skills, Seer's are not great warriors, but valuable nonetheless. They can witness events to come, but often view this as a curse, as they are often powerless to change that which they see. Many men of power have Seer's in their service for battle outcomes, and warnings of the bad, promises of the good.
White Mage Often using a cane as their only weapon, a white mage is not very good offensively. However, using their skills as a magician, they are great allies, protecting their comrades with shielding spells, healing the injured. Often considered the greatest of allies by their menagerie, White Mages are sought after for various quests, which means they are no strangers to danger. Training in temples around the world, White mages are pure of mind, and of spirit.
Black Mage Utilizing the Darker Side of magic, black mages usually train in secret sects. Working alongside a white Mage, a Black Mage will be quite an enemy, able to destroy multiple foes. Although masters of the black arts, black mages tend to work for good, although some underground dark factions are reported from time to time. A black mage is among the greatest of allies in battle, but can do very little to help the group defensively.
Sorcerer With a mixture of white and Dark magics, the sorcerer is indeed a worthy foe. Although not as strong as a white mages white magic, or a black mages black magic, Sorcerers are great because of their versatility. Sorcerers often use swords as a physical means of offense, but are not very adept at them. Preferring to fall back on his magic a sorcerer works great alone, or in a group.
Summoner With the ability to summon ethereal and demonic beings to do his bidding, a Summoner can be a great champion, or a deadly nemesis. Summoners usually have some other form of magic which develops slower than their summoning ability, a summoner can summon a whole cast of helpful and harmful beings to do work. Widely acclaimed, Summoners do the jobs that most fear, simple for the fact that the fighting is left up to the Summoned Creature. However, when a Summoned creature is called, a bond forms between the summoner and the creature, and when one dies, they both fall.
Necromancer Masters of the Dead, Necromancers are much like summoners, but raise dead and undead allies to do their bidding. Necromancers usually have some tipe of black arts to serve them as well. The more powerful of Necromancers can raise hordes of undead creatures, but the creatures draw off of the strength of the Necromancer, and too many can kill an unwise caller.
