Starting out in Lineage can be quite confusing at first. But the good thing is that it’s easy to learn and the commands do come easily after awhile. Now you have 4 types of characters to pick from when you first enter into lineage. There is a mage, knight, prince and elf to choose from, each of which differ in certain ways. The most easy to use class would probably have to be a knight. After you master been a knight, you should try the mage next, followed by the elf, which is kind of like a combination between a mage and knight.

Certain things you should know about Lineage:

·        Once you reach level 5 the dwarfs in each town store items for you

·        Usually the other dwarf, you can buy gems from

·        Renting an inn will help you heal both mana and health points

·        Always identify an item, to see whether your class can use it

·        Before choosing a class, roll for awhile to get the best stats

Knights

Starting out: Lv1-5

Since most newbies will choose a knight character here is a basic guideline on how to approach for the first few levels.

Before you begin as a knight, I suggest you roll the dice until you get the stats 16 str, 12 dex, 18 con. A con knight is usually best, having a high constitution will mean that your character will gain the best possible hit points after each level. It also will help you in the regeneration of hit points too. You will begin in a town called SKT ( Silver Knights Town ). You will be given a dagger and a leather jacket. Press the tab button to open your inventory and double-click the desired item you want to equip. Next is that I suggest you go to the training grounds which is located north-west of the village, or simply ask someone for directions. Hit the dummies until you reach either level 3 or 4. you should now have sufficient amounts of hp to attack creatures without difficulty. Hunt either north or north west of silver knights town. Its best to hunt either orcs, goblins or kobolds at this stage, anything else will probably kill you. Then I suggest you hunt and hunt till your at least level 5 and with a bit of money to spare. Its good to save up at least $1000 in cash, so spend you money wisely. The next best thing is to get some armor, and the best newbie kit would be the orc-set which consist of the following

·        orcish helm

·        orcish ringmail

·        uruk-ku shield

·        orcish cloak

Try to go into town to buy these items from other players. If you can’t obtain it this way, there is also another way that takes time. The other way would be to create a mage character, then go to the training grounds located west of the starting town of talking island, level your mage up to 5 by hitting the dummies. Then now with your knight deposit your saved money into one of the dwarfs. And with your mage, use the dwarf in talking island to retrieve the money. Buy a map from Pandora, who is located past the docks near the village, purchase a map to find your way the baslims store, which is located next to a dog kennel. Here baslim sells orcish related goods, buy the needed orcish-set from him and then go and deposit the items into the dwarf, now switching back to you knight retrieve the items (note: each item retrieval costs 30$). And good luck
