It was a cold winter morning that day in Sprenkville. As William staggered up the steps of Handsome Harry's Hotcakes . He was mad, mad at life and the way it treated him.
At Handsome Harry's Hotcakes their product sold like hotcakes and his boss made the big bucks. While he could barely scrape enough money together to feed his family.
But nonetheless he was happy , he couldn't explain his happiness. Whatever happened he was always happy. He could remember what his mom said on her deathbed "Man is like a bucket" and then she died (I guess she kicked the bucket). There are too many unexplainable things in life he thought. Whoever tries to find the answer to everything would go insane.
That is why he decided to "go with the flow" and do what everyone else is doing. You know get a job and a nice wife. William knew the latter wasn't good, But the former almost made up for it.
After his pleading him to ask his boss for a raise this Christmas, he resolutely set out for his bosses office. William walked in and declared in a rich tenor voice "My says I need to get a raise! ,can I?". His boss thought for a moment then said "Well then, I guess I'll have to ask my wife". After hanging up the phone the boss says to William she says " NO!!, I think that you should fire him" but I am a nice guy so I'll let you work for a bit longer. Then he walks up to his paper shredder with a document in hand and tries to get it to work but can't. So he says "William can you get this thing to work?". William walks up to it turns it on and starts putting the document through. When the boss says "just one copy please".
After William got fired from his job at Handsome Harry's Hotcakes he had to look everywhere for work. He couldn't find any until one day he was admitted a job as a Wal-Mart greeter. (He was the perfect choice because he was always so happy)

As the CEO of Wal-Mart John Doe was proud of himself. He also wanted to retire. He thought about who could take his place. None of the higher-ups would be sufficient because they were all greedy , impatient , temperamental and incognito (just jokes). So then he thought who is the nicest person that I know besides my wife? Then suddenly he remembered the day that he had visited the Wal-Mart in Sprenkville, and there was that really enthusiastic and happy Wal-Mart greeter.He picked up the phone and said to his secretary " You have been a great secretary, I am going to retire now so you can have any position in all of Wal- Mart that you want except for CEO I am passing that position on to the greeter in the Sprenkville branch, oh yah call them by the way and tell them that their guy is the new CEO I think that his name was William something, anyways get that done and go home early I know that I sure am" and with that he got on his coat and walked home contented. ***** William got up that day with a HUGE smile. He drove to work. As soon as he got there he noticed there was something different. Then he realized that there was a new greeter there in his place. He decided to go to his boss (once again he got the feeling that he was fired) but amazingly his manager said that HE WAS PROMOTED!!! William ran around the store going insane with happiness. Then the manager told him that he was the new CEO of Wal Mart !!! After hearing this William couldn't contain his happiness. He ran outside and let out a HUGE "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAH!!!!!!!!!!!" His face couldn't contain a smile as big as his. Once he had calmed down he ran happily to the Wal Mart head office two states away. He became the CEO of Wal Mart and never had any troubles for the rest of his life... except for when he forgot to tell his wife about his new job for a year. She lived in poverty and fear that he had left her. Then when he did remember to call her about the great news she was so mad that she divorced him about 1 minute later she remembered her situation, remarried, and they lived happily ever after.
