- Is the ball juiced? Even with playing conditions almost identical to week 4, everyone seemed to be lofting the foam farther this week. This writer thinks it may have been a different kind of “juice” that many of the players enjoyed after the prom.
- Is anyone still questioning Marc Lantz as #1 overall?

- Where did Team Barilar’s offense come from? It seems like they had more hits in week 5 then in the rest of the season combined. 

- The AWBL grounds are not a tobacco free zone.

- In a staggering upset, Team Smacker was defeated by Team Walker…..Wait a minute, why is that an upset? Wasn’t everyone picking Team Smacker to end up in the cellar before the season started?

- Ryan Hetrick has moved into 2nd place on the all-time one-handed homerun list….with 2. 

- Pepperoni Power? Kyle Barilar must think so. His game was rejuvenated when he began batting with the tasty treats in his mouth. 

- Is that Babe Ruth? No, it’s the other big, fat guy with a stogie in his mouth. That’s right, Zim. However, it seemed to work as the raging mammoth went on a tear after lighting one up. 

- Is that Stacey Basile I see with more hits than 3rd and 4th round draft picks George and Vince Mead?

- Does anyone miss Mike Foster? I didn’t think so.

- While I’m on the subject, more batting records are going to be broken this year than windows in Foster’s neon. 

- Is ADD contagious? Apparently so, because while facing Adam Miloser, Matt Dinger began to hop around uncontrollably on the mound before pitching. 

- Let’s all throw some more leaves on the fire. It doesn’t make a giant cloud of smoke on the field or anything.
