Beginning Week 4

Troupe Throws 1st Complete Game Shutout Ace Joey Troupe pitched a 6-hit shut out as Team Barilar blanked Team Smacker 4-0 in league action. Troupe picked up the win giving up no runs on 6 hits while striking out two over 7 innings. The shut out was the 1st complete game shut out to be tossed in league history. At the plate, Matt Dinger went 4-for-5 with a double and Travis Harp and Joey Troupe each hit a home run and tripled. For Team Smacker, Kayla McGee and Ronnie Walker each doubled for their teams' only extra base hits. In his AWBL pitching debut, David Huey got the loss surrendering 4 runs on 12 hits in a complete game.

Team Smacker Demolishes Team Blose in 3 innings In what was by far the shortest game in league history, Team Smacker downed Team Blose 15-0 in just less than 3 innings. Ronnie Walker and David Huey paced the 16-hit Smack attack each going 6-for-7 with 2 homers. Kyle Means pitched what is considered the AWBL's first no-hitter in only 2 innings of work. Jeff Dean took the loss for Team Blose giving up 15 runs on 16 hits in 2.5 innings of labor.

Team Smacker Wins Marathon Over Team Guidash In a game that just would not end, Team Smacker beat Team Guidash 21-9. Ronnie Walker, Kyle Means, and Kayla McGee all hit for the cycle. However, Walker's 4 home runs proved be the most fatal as he racked up 8 RBI's. For Team Guidash, Andy Divelbiss hit 3 home runs to lead the way. Walker earned the win on the mound going the distance. Adam Beveridge got the loss in 1+ innings of work.

Team Barilar Uses Big 1st Inning to Propel Them Victory Team Barilar scored 4 runs in the first inning and never looked back, as they defeated Team Guidash 9-5 in AWBL action. Kyle Barilar reached base 6 consecutive times while hitting 2 home runs to do most of the damage. Matt Dinger picked up 4 key RBI's to help his cause on the mound. David Zimmerman hit for the cycle to lead Team Guidash at the plate. On the mound, Dinger picked up the win going 7 strong innings, allowing 11 hits, and only 5 runs. Zimmerman also went the distance for Team Guidash to get the loss.

Beveridge Out Duels Dean For the Win In a pitcher's duel, Team Guidash defeated Team Blose 3-2. Adam Beveridge went 7 stable innings allowing 6 hits while just surrendering 2 runs. Jeff Dean also pitched solidly going the distance allowing 3 runs on just 5 hits. David Zimmerman and Matt Stookey each hit homered for the winners. Kory Blose had 3 of his team's hits and Dean went yard in a losing cause.

Team Blose Overcomes Deficit Team Blose came down from a 3-1 hole to down Team Barilar 7-5. James Pritchard hit 2 home runs for the winners. Kyle Barilar hit for the cycle in only 5 at-bats to pace Team Barilar at the plate. Mike Foster got the win on the mound going the distance while giving up 11 hits and only 5 runs, while striking out 2. Joey Troupe took the loss giving up 7 runs in only 4 innings.

Team Guidash Cruises Over Team Blose Team Guidash used 6 runs in the 4th inning to help the easily win over Team Blose. Joe Martin hit 2 home runs to lead Team Guidash's 16-hit attack. For Team Blose, James Pritchard's triple was his team's only extra base hit on the afternoon. Adam Beveridge picked up the win going a complete game 7 innings allowing 3 runs on just 5 hits, while fanning 2. Mike Foster got the loss in 3.5 innings of work, giving up 7 of the 12 runs.

Team Smacker Downs Team Barilar Team Smacker beat Team Barilar 10-5 behind Kyle Means' solid pitching performance. Means gave up just 5 runs on 8 hits. Ronnie Walker paced Team Smacker at the plate going 5-for-7 with a homer to lead the way, and Marc Lantz went 6-for-7 with a double. Travis Harp had a home run to lead the losers. Matt Dinger got the complete game loss.

Team Barilar Comes Back From 7-3 Deficit; Barilar Hits 1st Ever Grand Slam Matt Dinger overcame a slow start to shut down Team Guidash in the final 5 innings. Dinger also helped himself at the plate hitting 3 home runs. Joey Troupe also had 3 homers and 2 triples and Kyle Barilar hit the league's first 4 run homer. Matt Stookey, who hit 4 home runs in his first 4 plate appearances, led team Guidash. Dinger got the win allowing 9 runs on 11 hits. Only 2 of those runs came in the final 5 innings. David Zimmerman got the loss in 2+ innings of work giving up 10 runs.

Cy Young Picks Up 1st Win of the Year Last year's Cy Young winner Adam Miloser picked up his 1st win of the year getting an 11-6 decision over Team Smacker. Kory Blose led the winners at the plate hitting 4 home runs. Kyle Means led the losers by hitting a home run with his cycle. Miloser got the win going 7 strong innings, giving up 10 hits while only 6 runs. Ronnie Walker got the loss giving up 11 runs in 6 innings of work.

Temchulla's Home Run Lifts Team Barilar over Team Blose; Troupe Makes History Garrett Temchulla hit a home run in the top of the 7th inning to break a 7-7 deadlock. The home run by propelled Team Barilar to an 8-7 victory. Temchulla also led Team Barilar at the plate going 4-for-7 with 2 home runs. Kory Blose, who was 5-for-6 with 3 home runs, led Team Blose. Joey Troupe picked up the win giving up 7 runs on 12 hits while striking out 1. The strike out of Mike Foster broke the single season record for strikeouts in a season. Foster got the loss for Team Blose in 7 innings of work.

Team Frosty Gets Solid Pitching By Rookie Matt Stookey pitched a solid game for Team Guidash as they downed Team Smacker 7-3. Stookey gave up only 3 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings of work while getting the W. At the plate, Dustin Guidash hit 2 homers to go along with his cycle. Team Smacker was lead by Kyle Means, who hit 2 home runs. Means also got the loss on the mound going 6 innings and allowing 7 runs on 9 hits.
