Albion Field
Albion Field The AWBL has been the dominant wiffle ball league in the Punxsutawney area for nearly three years now, and for three years, Albion Field has been its home. Located just a half mile off route 119, it has locally, regionally, and nationally been considered a great place for wiffle ball, and for wiffle ball fans. Seating nearly 20 fans, Albion Field has held 4 fans since Opening Day 2002. A large number of fans take advantage of the openness of Albion Field and enjoy watching games from various locations around the ballpark.
Home to many great wiffle ball games of the past, Albion Field will host the 2002 AWBL World Series, which will be the first completed championship in league history. It housed the second annual Homerun Derby in 2002 and every regular season game of the 2002, 2001, and 2000 seasons. During the off season, it is used as a back yard for the Troupe family. On special occasions, AWBL is carved into the yard with a short lawn mower.
Here are some photos of Albion Field with a short description.
The grass has been worn down by the plate and pitcher's mound over the years to mere dirt patches. |
A beautiful view of Albion Field from home, to the beige monster.

The 30 foot basepath tries its hardest to grow grass during the week but is usually trampled to dirt by Sunday evening. Hunter's cars are in the backround. |
This is the trickiest base path on the diamond. 2nd base was destroyed by Zim in a golf club incident and is about 1/5 the size of a normal base.

Watch for the big tree as you round 2nd and head into third. |
If you dodge the tree, you're in for a easy way in to home with a good chance to give your teammates on the red picnic table a high five.
