After watching a particularly bad "Itchy & Scratchy" episode, Bart and Lisa decide to write one of their own. However, the cartoon's producer rejects the script because they are too young. Undaunted, they put Grampa's name on the script and Grampa gets a job as a staff writer. Meanwhile, Marge's and Homer's high school reunion approaches. When only Marge gets an invitation, Homer confesses that he didn't graduate because he flunked a class. Nevertheless, he goes to the reunion with Marge and racks up alumni awards, which are stripped when Principal Dondelinger reveals his secret. Homer decides top go back to school and get his diploma. Grampa wins an award for his "Itchy & Scratchy" episode. After Brooke Shields presents him with the award, Grampa confesses that he had never seen the episode before that night and thinks the show is too violent. At home, a beaming Homer shows Marge his diploma. A short called "The Adventures of Ned Flanders" features Ned and his family. |
