Lisa and Marge go to help clean up an oil spill, leaving Bart and Homer at home. While they are gone, Bart damages property in the yard of a spooky house.A woman, Belle, comes out and leads Bart home by the ear. She tells Homer that Bart should be punished. Homer makes Bart do chores for Belle to pay for his misdeed. Belle's house turns out to be the Maison Derriere, a burlesque salon. Upon Marge's and Lisa's return, a group of concerned citizens confront Homer on Bart's work. Marge joins the group in its attempt to oust the Maison Derriere from Springfield. At a Town Hall meeting, Marge convinces the townspeople that it is in their best interest to demolish the old house. When the townspeople gather with implements of destruction at the Maison Derriere and begin to destroy the house, Homer sings a song thast changes everyone's mind. The demolition is stopped. However, Marge's bulldozer slips out of gear and damages the house. To pay her debt, she must perform a ventriloquist act. |
