The Color of Light
Now Playing: on RadioNuages.com
Topic: Dana Cunningham
Review: "A rare recent work that not only sounds beautiful, but also evokes emotional journeys. As a film producer, I know how hard it is to inspire emotion in an audience." --Clark Peterson, Producer of Academy Award-winning film, Monster

The Color of Light blends 15 tracks of idyllic artistry featuring piano soloist, Dana Cunningham's original compositions and improvisations. Among her distinctively lyrical solo works are a number of pieces enhanced with instrumental textures and contemporary structures. Featured Grammy Award-winning artists include cellist, Eugene Friesen, percussionist, Glen Velez, and Will Ackerman, on guitar. Within the contemplative nature of Dana's previous works, the result is a surprisingly powerful and evocative album radiating with liberating colors, textures, line, and space as remarkable as any natural vista or visual work of art. The Color of Light is required listening for peacekeepers, contemplative listeners, as well as classical, and jazz aficionados.
By any measure, The Color of Light is stunning. Visually, audibly, lyrically, and emotionally it is drop dead gorgeous. Even more remarkable is this recording is an independent project. Yet, by all accounts The Color of Light looks, sounds, and feels like a major label release. So well crafted, it has a beautifully eclectic sensibility that draws the listener in and holds them until the last notes fade away. It is the exceptional artist who so passionately puts every ounce of their being into a work there can literally be no expectation of how well it will be received. The Color of Light has been embraced by critics, acclaimed producers of music and film, visual artists, musicians, and contemplative listeners. Dana Cunningham's Fountain Creek Music site. You are welcome anytime. Feel free to sample audio clips from The Color of Light often. And please, do tell your friends about Dana's work, as we know discerning patrons are the most compelling influence in our campaign supporting this extraordinary contribution to the recording industry and music lovers everywhere.
