380 Ways To Annoy Your Roommate Random Things I'm Thinking About Right Now
|
News 10:40:57 August 24, 2003
Now that that's over with, here are the recent updates: moved my website AGAIN since T35.com wasn't letting me log into the file server, thus I couldn't update anything :/ Also, nearly everyone's gone to college :*( except UMN people, Brett, and Ben. I leave too come the end of this week. Exciting, but I'm anxious to do something since my summer hasn't been all that action-packed. Sam and I are going up to campus to scavenge through used books on Tuesday, call if you want to join us O_o Tomorrow's my last day of work for a month! Both wonderful and saddening; I'll miss the people I work with, but it'll be nice to be able to leave that obligation behind for at least a little while. Also, if anyone wants to do anything during the next week, CALL ME, I'm gonna be INCREDIBLY BORED since everyone in my family will be working, and I can't go out for the whole day since I have to watch my dogs. ACK! Maybe during that time I'll brush up on my webpage building skills, get some fancier junk on here. I also have to clean my room before I leave, it's all clean except for a gigantic pile of crap laying in the corner. Ah well. Over and out, I'm going to do something else before I have to go to work.

I don't want what I just had my news to be up anymore (hopefully that sentence makes sense), so I'm going to change it. You can see that oddity in the News section and the newly created Random Things I'm Thinking About Right Now section. Yesterday while writing up my class schedule, I just noticed that I have Chem Lab for almost 3 hours on Tuesdays. I should've had that switched to Friday, just to even things out and not have one big hectic day. Oh well, too late now, hopefully it won't be too bad. I'll see what else I can throw together and stick on my webpage, I feel like adding more stuff...

Well, yesterday I got back from Freshman Orientation at the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities, having registered for classes and absorbed tons of info on random stuff associated with college. My Fall 2003 Semester schedule for those who care is posted below.
I just made a playlist on WinAmp labelled "Depressed" for some reason, I just feel completely out of it right now, and I'm listening to lots of mellow/sad music type stuff. Yep. Sam prolly knows why I feel this way, ask him if you really want to (vargoose@attbi.com). He might've forgotten by now, but whatever. My right hand has a huge blister right under my middle finger from my foosball table. That's pissing me off. I have a new idea, I'll make a "Random Things I'm Thinking About Right Now" page, and just update it when I feel like it about whatever I'm thinking about (duh...), that could be fun. I think I'll go do that now. 21:16:03 June 19, 2003
Added a section on the new stuff I want to get for my computer, since it's apparently too old to support a better graphics card. I'm also ditching the "Random Picture of the Update" since I'm lazy, but I'll leave the past 2 up.
Kyle's gone to Alaska, Derek and Phil both got jobs, and I don't have much contact with anyone else, so this all amounts to pretty much another boring week until I start getting more hours (hopefully). I got Windows XP finally, which is a LOT better than Windows ME. Also improved my CS skills at Gastonguay's LAN party on Tuesday. Gotta play that more now ;) 21:11:42 June 9, 2003
Added the first Derek Weller quote!!! Yah! Also added the "Random Hidden Picture of the Update" or whatever I call it, I forget.
Graduation rehearsal was boring, but the actual ceremony wasn't too bad. The all-night party was a blast! Between casino-trips and foosball games, I nicely spent my time up, but then the best part came: The Hypnotist. Jeff Tibbits pretending to be Elvis on steroids while Libby Hager had to find ways of vehemently crticizing "Elvis's" behavior as a zealous churchwoman, or Ben Phipps trying to walk when his shoes weighed 50 pounds apiece... man, GOOD TIMES!!! Graduation parties have also been one of the funnest things I've ever done, just spending time with people I know without the pressure of schoolwork looming over. I also formed the Carpool Clan foosball team during Betsy's senior party ;P This has truly been a memorable year. 18:22:04 June 4, 2003
Fleshed out the links page a bit, added Derek's new page, fixed some errors on the Music page. Also added the "Random Picture of the Update," find it if you can d: This update's picture includes info on the elusive "BHS French Club," which was called to meeting 2 times at school and 3 times outside of school. It's definitely a crucial part of BHS history.

Took out the AIM thing to prevent random stalking :/ added more quotes and links, modified some stuff.Big news now, tomorrow's my last day of school! Since I have an A in every class, I'm exempt from taking finals, so two days of nothingness, then graduation, then the senior lock-in, then the plethora of graduation parties. I've already gone to 3, they're a blast! Well, I technically only went to 1 since I arrived like 30 minutes after the other two ended. Oh well :/ Next year: University of Minnesota. Booyah. Or something. This weekend I also did something completely against my nature. For now it stays a secret, though, and only 3 people know about it, not including me. Sorry Betsy! d:

Added the AIM thing on the menu, added a quote 'cuz it was too good :)
I'll have to figure out more stuff to stick here, I'm running out :/ I think I'll update my music list, add more quotes, put up more links, and generally flesh out my current sections before I add new ones. 21:24:31 April 22, 2003
Random update to somehow keep this site alive ;) Added a link to the "380 Ways to Annoy Your Roommate" (it's been up for a while, just the link was never posted). I got this from Shadowmere a while ago, someone posted it in Gen. Mail; read it, it's really funny :) Also updated my Music list. One major thing I changed was I took out the frames completely (they were pissing me off) and replaced them with tables. This way, there's only one page to load, and there isn't an annoying scrollbar in the middle of the form if the frame is too long.

Well, didn't update as much as I had promised, but it's decently big anyhow. I kinda ran out of stuff to update >_< I'll get some more stuff soon, I promise!
Added a link to Alex's website, Derek's website and Emily's website, fixed some incorrect link targets and generally cleaned up and improved the links page, added the gToons section, added Garrick's and my lemonade stand game, Lemonade Kingpin, added my Matrix Stalker program, added a ton more quotes, updated my music list. 15:05:11 March 9, 2003
All right, since I haven't updated for over a month, I'm goin' all out massive HUGE update. In the meantime, heres a link to Derek's website: Dweller's Page; and a list for something new I've picked up on: gToons. I'll explain more about it later in my new section: gToons! Well, gotta get back to my stupid econ project.

Uploaded the new Quasi-Clandestine Clan website!!! (Note: actual meaning of the acronym QCC indefinite). Since I got back into Starcraft, my friends and I have formed this clan for no real reason for the purpose of being in a clan. Right.
In other issues having the same kind of awesome logic, Kyle is forming French Club, and I'm his right-hand man and close advisor. His initial reason for forming it was so that he could add that to scholarship applications, lol. However, Mr. Morrisette is making us write a big proposal, making it all formal and junk. Oh well, at least it won't be a complete waste of time now. It should be fun, Lat is the publicist (I think she's going to post signs up all over school aobut it), and I'm making logos on Paintshop Pro (since I'm supposed to make a website for it too O_o). Ah, life is indeed interesting. Today, Kyle and I also began the first week of teaching french to elementary-school kids. We basically lectured for like the whole time, stopping only for snack time and to make sure they were following us. It was loads of fun, especially finding ways to make them understand us better, lol. The one they found the funniest was when I told them that "s'il vous plaît" was phonetically "seal voo play." Fun fun for everyone!!! Also, added a link to Alex's website ;) 17:57:51 January 26, 2003
I'm bored outta my mind right now, just sitting at home, so I decided to update my website with... uh... nothing much. I changed my music list so it's just songs I like, no longer dated. I went on a drive with Mike and Kyle for physics; we had to drive 10 miles, route it on a map, and then we get to calculate our average velocity on Wednesday. Fun.
Yesterday I celebrated Chinese New Year with my family, my sister's friends, and Tyler, Liz, and Kyle. It was fun, we got to see Tyler try all sorts of oddities, such as pickled ginger, pickled eggs, and sticky rice with mung beans (his piece had a chunk of black pepper in it, which he prompty bit through). Afterwards, me, Kyle, Tyler, and Chris (sister's boyfriend) played NFL Blitz, which was fun in a cheesy/hilarious way; guys could dive 10 yards for a tackle, it was pretty interesting, to say the least. Then, Kyle and Liz left and me and Tyler beat War of the Monsters twice. For anyone who hasn't seen it, Robin Williams: Live on Broadway is the funniest thing ever created by man!!! I added a few of his lines in the quotes section, but it's SOOOO much better watching it! Also, once I debug Kyle's "Are you jewish?" program, I'll post it up. I also got Derek's PowerBall game, which I'm going to sell on my website without his permission, so don't tell him. Arg, I want to get Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, but I don't feel like paying more than $15 for it :/ Guess I'll be deprived for a while. Oh well, War of the Monsters will keep me occupied, hehe. 15:11:41 January 23, 2003
Another day, another step closer to the end of high school. I feel thrilled that conventional school will be (hopefully) no more, yet I can't surpress the feeling of never seeing some of my friends again. Well, there's still 5½ months left until I have to worry about that.
I got switched out of Ethan and back into Morgan! Happy day! It was a long shot (there was only one seat left in his class), but it happened, and now I'm happily on my way to learning C++/Java, as well as actual Physics. (I hear Ethan's class had to calculate the distance from their classroom to another point in the school. Talk about waste of time!) So far in this semester, I have learned: 1) antiderivatives, 2) Economics is going to be hella easy, 3) Small Group is horrible (come on, why do we have to spend a whole class period going over the damn syllabus???), 4) what vector and scaler measurements are, and 5) how to make a C++ program asking for your name, then responding with a "Hi, Fixed my schedule, fixed some links to open in new windows. I wish there were some way to get more people to come to my website and suggest stuff to me. I'm kinda lost as to where I should next with this place. I think I'll start with posting my school essays for no reason whatsoever. 21:07:22 January 20, 2003
Added a link to LiveWire for kicks. Let's see, I watched The Emporer's New Groove and most of Amélie today at Kyle's dad's today. Lots of fun, which is good to have the day before the next semester starts. At least I don't have any hard classes this semester (AP Gov. and Adv. LitComp just require too much work to succeed at...) I'll try to get more quotes up, as well as more programs. And sign my guestbook! :/

I had this massive AP Government Final study group today, was loads of fun, and we actually accomplished a little. First, we spent like an hour to an hour and a half playing Virtua Fighter 4, then we all just gathered around a table and shouted randomly. If anyone has the Houghton-Mifflin government book, look at the picture on page 128 and e-mail me your answer to this question: What gender is the person in the yellow shirt? I'll keep a tally and post up the results sometime. I'll try scanning the picture and posting it up so more people can vote, heh. Around 6:30, all the guys left, so it was just me, Sarah, Betsy, Beth, and Emily. We somehow got onto completely abstract conversation topics, but it was very entertaining. Now, if only I can remember all that crap to pass the gov. final...On this update, I added a few more links, and also began the long-awaited Quotes page! I've only got some of them there, I'll have to dig around my school notebooks to find the other ones. I'll try and remember to get my programs from school onto my computer at home, compile them, and post them. Some are pretty good, others just have pure entertainment value. I think I'll put my schedule on the main page now for no reason.
21:54:42 January 8, 2003
Been kinda busy and distracted, so no updates :/ Oh well, it's been less than a month, heh. Let's see, I've dropped out of Diablo II again, into StarCraft, I've been playing Risk, Golden Sun, and Abalone quite often, and first-semester finals are almost here!!! Wow. I'll get some more programs up as soon as I remember to, heh.
Tomorrow, I'm going to the University of Minnesota for AP Government, which is pretty cool except for the jury thing we're doing. I have no idea what its going to be like, but as I told Megan and Betsy, "'field trip' should mean 'no-work journey to a magical place' or something." Ah well, whatcha gonna do. At least I didn't have to do any homework today :D and I got my scholarship essay done! Yay! I think I'll update my music list, for kicks. I haven't really gotten any more songs, but what the hell. 21:46:56 December 9, 2002
Added a few programs and the programs page. The speaking program is very amusing, hehe :) I'll get my Tic-Tac-Toe program up soon, as well as some other simple things.
Finally, my ethnography paper is over! Now, I just have to do the government paper and the physics project :/ 21:35:11 December 8, 2002
Added more favorite music; won't be able to update much for the next week since I've got a government paper to work on and a physics project to do :/
11:01:34 December 7, 2002
Added a guestbook, since I'm telling everyone to come here ;) Once I get some of my programs finished up, expect to see a Downloads page too. Also added more links.
16:02:41 December 5, 2002
Added this News page as well as my Music page.
15:39:23 December 5, 2002
Added news to this page, added some links for my friends, check back later since I'll probably have more stuff here.
