380 Ways To Annoy Your Roommate Random Things I'm Thinking About Right Now
|
gToons gToons is an online game playable at CartoonNetwork.com. The object of the game is first to control a majority of both revealed colors (the colors of randomly chosen cards from both players' decks) or to have the most points. Many cards have abilities that can affect the colors or point values of other cards on the field. All gToons are based off characters from Cartoon Network shows, such as Powerpuff Girls, Justice League, or Scooby Doo. There are currently around 200 different cards, but a deck can only be comprised of 12 cards, and only 7 actually hit the playing table. How to play Only 1 of each character can be on the table at a time, but some characters have multiple different cards with different point values, so if both cards hae equal point values, both are discounted from the players' totals, but if they have differing point values, the lower-valued card stays in play while the higher-value card is discounted from the totals. There are 6 colors: blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow. There are also 2 other colored cards: black, which counts as no color, and silver, which can be assigned any color (even black or silver O_o) before the last card is revealed. Before the game starts, the computer picks one card from each person's deck and reveals them to both players. The colors of these cards are the winning colors, which means whoever, at the end of the game, controls more of both colors wins the game. If neither has a majority, the person with the highest number of points wins. If only one color is revealed (if both cards are the same color, or a black or silver card is revealed), then whoever controls more of the revealed color gains 15 extra points, but the game is decided by points. If no colors are revealed (both cards are black or silver), then there is no color bonus, and the game is determined by points. After the method of winning is determined, each player is dealt 6 cards from her or his deck. Players are given about 45 seconds to place 4 cards on the field in a horizontal line. Many card abilities rely on the cards it is touching, so therein lies a lot of strategy. The 4 cards are concealed to the opponent until both players are ready to reveal. After the 4 cards are revealed, players are given the chance to discard any of their remaining cards, after which both players are dealt more cards until they have another 6 cards with which to play. Now, 3 more horizontal card spots are placed directly beneath the initial 4 spots, and players must play 3 cards from their hand. After both players are ready, the first 2 cards are revealed. Now, players are given the chance to switch their last cards at the cost of 10 points. Then, players must choose one color for all of their silver cards to become. Finally, the last cards are revealed, and totals are taken. Whoever fulfills the winning condition wins the match. gToons Card List: Last Update 3-31-2003
