"Beware faux miracle workers, yogis, dervishes, televangelists, zealots and cult leaders. Penn & Teller have you in their cross-hairs with a new series that strives to spark controversy, headlines and water cooler fisticuffs!"
Penn & Teller: Bullshit! started in 2002.
"Organic Foods" In episode 706, Penn and Teller examine the organic food industry to determine if it is, as many claim, more nutritious, and better for the environment. The U.S. government has no minimum requirements for the word "organic". In episode 707, a visit to the halls of Congress in search of a legislator willing to discuss America's complex, unfair tax system yields interesting results. In episode 708, Penn and Teller dig up the truth about the lawn care industry, visit a man who was imprisoned for having an untended lawn, and find a neighborhood where a certain type of grass is mandatory. In episode 709, the hosts take a skeptical look at "stress" and the modern attitude toward "curing" what was once considered a normal part of everyday life. Episode 710, the seventh season finale aired in September...Their newest season will be on the Discovery Channel in 2011, no lie
Why is the series title called "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!" you ask? Penn says the Showtime lawyers told them that if they called a UFO Alien Abduction Therapist a fake or fraud, they could get sued, but if they just called it "Bullshit!" they couldn't sue because that's a personal opinion and everyone is entitled to their opinion in a free country. That's why. Unless you think that explanation by Penn is just BS. Some of the episodes are repeated on Showtime #2
