GOTCHA DAY!!

Praise God!! We have our Kayli today!!!! She took to our family like a fish to water.

We were the first ones to arrive at the Civil Affairs Office. Kayli, and three caregivers arrived ten minutes later. She walked in the room and put her arms around her new Mama. She was all smiles.

Then Dad and each of the three children held her. She repeated the English names of everyone.

She picks up sounds effortlessly. Kayli spent a little time on Grandma and Grandpa's lap. Anna gave her a doll with a bottle. She held it until we got the soccer ball out. Then for the next 45 minutes while we signed papers, all the kids had a great game of tossing and catching the ball. There was lots of laughter and hugs.

Kayli appears easy going, cheerful and eager to please. She is a little copycat when it comes to skipping, talking, playing or sketching. All the changes Kayli is going through will probably sink into her a bit later on.

When we opened a box of Oreo cookies, Kayli passed out two cookies apiece to the five other people in the room before she ate her own.

Kayli

We have a very precious little gem.
