Today we flew from Beijing to Hangzhou. We set a wake-up call for 5:45am, but everyone was so excited about going to the city where we would pick up Kayli, that we were all awake and getting ready to go by 5:00am.

Our bus driver attempted to drop us off at the wrong terminal at the very large airport, and it was only with difficulty that we made her understand where to take us. Good thing we did, too, because we just made our flight.

The China Southern jet was seated to capacity. There were very few caucasians on board. The two-hour flight went by swiftly.

When we got off the plane we met Jane, our adoption coordinator. One of our first questions for her was, "When do we get to pick up Kayli?" We thought we might get her on Sunday but Jane informed us that it wouldn't be until Monday at 9:30am. We were disappointed.

The Haihua hotel is beautiful but the rooms are small.

Hangzhou is much different than Beijing. There seems to be more prosperity. In the evening people enjoy strolling along streets, arm in arm, under umbrellas because of the light rain.

Stephen, very happy with his pizza!

A wedding was held on the second floor balcony of the hotel. It seemed to be a loud happy affair. The bride, Grace remarked, looks a lot like Charity. Charity is our niece. (Are you ready, Uncle John?)

Very early in the evening our kids dropped off to sleep. I don't think we realized how tired we all were.
