Task

The task that you are about to undertake is not very simple. It requires courage.
- You will first start by gathering information about the beautiful Galapagos Islands as you assume the roles of a Historian, a Zoologist, a Marine biologist and a Scientist. Focus on the different species in existence, the danger they are in and the solutions available. By the end of this quest you will become experts on the natural habitat of the Galapagos Islands!
- Next, teamwork and brainstorming will be the key tasks as your group reaches a very important decision regarding the question of conservation of the Galapagos Islands. Are the conservation efforts already being taken enough? Is there some problem that needs immediate attention? What could be some alternative solutions? These are just some of the questions you will have to think about before you can write your report on the “BIG Q”.
- Next you will have to show conviction in your ideas as your group takes the necessary steps to act rather than simply talk about solutions. Your group is going to make their voice heard to our world leaders so that they take you seriously! You will use whatever means of communication you think will be most effective.
- Lastly through a reflective essay, you will show what effect this exercise has had on your thinking process.
