Evaluation

There are two different ways that your projects will be evaluated.

  • 70% of your final grade will come from your Group Work
  • 30% of your final grade will be based on your Individual work.

Both sections will be evaluated according to specific requirements listed below.

You will notice that each requirement is accompanied by a point value. You will receive a number (from 0 to 20) for each component that indicates how well you have fulfilled the task. 0 is the lowest (unsatisfactory) and 20 is the highest (excellent).

Overall : Your individual work (answering questions, writing your report) is neat, on-time, and you put effort in your work.

Group Contribution : You have been an active participant in your group. You have shared your ideas but also listened to others ideas. You have contributed to the group report, the visual aid and have presented your expert opinion well for the presentation

Galapagos Quest : Your group has worked well together and made group decisions by discussing the options before you decide what to do. You have all listened to each other and not argued. (You can disagree but must talk nicely to each other to find a solution).

Appeal for Protection : Your group has brainstormed ideas and planned them out. You have carefully thought of the most effective means of communication. Your appeal has impact and the leaders you have chosen are in a position to make a difference. The work is presented neatly.

Group written report : All expert opinions are represented. You have carefully joined each group member’s research so that it reads smoothly. It is clear what your expert opinion is, and that opinion is supported with examples
