Cross-town Shootout 1st Annual Scholarship Awards
(December 2005)

The 2005 Bishop Brossart Mustangs versus the Campbell County Camels basketball games were filled with their annual rivalry. However, there was a moment of comradery when the Class of 2006 Making A Difference Foundation Scholarships were presented during the boys’ varsity game. What a sight to see and joy to hear when both sides of the auditorium applauded for the two deserving seniors as they each received their $1,000 post-secondary educational Scholarship Award.

Bishop Brossart High School recipient, Ms. Aimee Pfefferman, and Campbell County High School recipient, Ms. Sara Stacey, were nominated by the selection committee for their outstanding service and dedications towards making a difference in our community, Northern Kentucky. These two seniors were presented their scholarship award in the presents of their peers with their family at their side. Congratulations once again on behalf of the Foundation.

In parallel with the two individual awards, both Bishop Brossart High School and Campbell County High School received a custom designed perpetual plaque. This display of appreciation will continuously recognize the current and former graduating class senior who received a $1,000 scholarship for their community involvement. So, next time you have the chance to walk the halls of these two schools, take a minute to see which of our local teens, now young adults, exemplify the concept for Making A Difference in Northern Kentucky.
