As a Non-Profit Organization, Making a Difference Foundation was established to energize and inspire individuals to make a difference in Northern Kentucky. A volunteer Board of Trustee and Executive Committee govern the organization and design strategic initiatives that achieve the maximum benefit for the community. Ninety-five cents of every dollar collected is reinvested directly in the lives of Northern Kentucky families.
The Foundation is compromised of three cornerstones: Educational Scholarships, Youth Development, and Community Service. The first cornerstone- Educational Scholarships, focuses primarily on post-secondary education for our teens. Scholastic achievements complimented by community involvement are the two essential criterions for award. The second cornerstone- Youth Development, provides a platform to expose our youth to the diversities of our community and our country, while promoting personal growth. The final cornerstone- Community Service, utilizes local volunteers to participate in organized activities that continually strives to meet existing and emerging needs for our neighbors.
In conclusion, the Foundation has taken that first step to pursue collaborative approaches with established organizations and local businesses in building partnerships for a strong community.
