born on the German Coast, ca 1750, the daughter of Charles Triche and Maxmillienne
Wideminne. Marie Magdelaine died November 22,1805, Jean Baltazar died October
2,1816, and both burials were recorded at (SJB). Eleven known children were
born to this couple.
Jean Nicolas Vicknair, baptized December 10,1741 (SJB), married Mary Appolonia Helffer
(Elfer), baptised October 28,1742, in Pennsylvania, daughter of John Wendelin
Helffer and Mary Appolonia (Maiden name not listed). Jean Nicolas died January
22,1792. Nine known children were born of this union, and most of them moved
to Livingston Parish.
Andre Vicknair, born November 15,1743 (SCB), died April 24,1749 (SCB).
David Vicknair (Twin), baptized November 5,1745 (SCB), married first to Marguerite
Folse, born December 31,1754 (SCB), daughter of Jean Baptist Folse and Marie
Julienne Tregre. Marguerite died October 11,1775, and David remarried April
2,1777 (PCP), to Marie Marguerite Cuvillier, born August 23,1757 (PCP), daughter
of Jean Pierre Cuvillier and Marie Assayer. Marie Marguerite died October
15,1787, and David died January 8,1791.There were at least two children born
by each marriage.
Antoine Vicknair (Twin), baptized November 5,1745 (SCB), married April 28,1772
(PCP), to Perine Cuvillier, born August 18,1755 (PCP), daughter of Jean Pierre
Cuvillier and Marie Assayer, and sister of Marie Marguerite, above. Antoine
died November 21,1816, Perine died July 24,1824. Thirteen children were born
to this couple.
Jean Jacques Vicknair, born April 27,1747 (SCB). His posterity is unknown, but he was
deceased by 1772.
Guilliame Vicknair, born November 22,1748 (SCB), died April 24,1749 (SCB).
Marie Marguerite Vicknair, baptized ca. February 1751 (SLC), married Jean Pierre
Gaspard Normand, born March 27,1742, in Montreal, Quebec, son of Jean Gaspard
Normand and Marie Josephe Chenier. This couple moved to Avoyelles Parish,
ca 1790, and were the parents of at least eight children. Marie Marguerite
died in Avoyelles Parish ca. October 14,1826.
