Covington Catholic defeated Lexington Catholic by the score of 71-52. Covington Catholic outscored Lexington Catholic 21-9 in the third quarter to take control of the game. Covington Catholic shot 46.6% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 10 of 10 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 22 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 37.8% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored four points off 10 Covington Catholic turnovers.

Madison Central defeated East Jessamine by the score of 54-47. There were four lead changes and four ties in this game. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-8 Fr. E’maria Owens, 5-6 Fr. Charleigh Foster, 5-11 Jr. Addison Combs, 5-5 Sr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-7 Jr. McKinlry Emerson.

Lafayette led 59-51 with 52 seconds left in the game but had to survive a furious rally by Madison Southern to earn a hard fought 62-60 victory. There were five lead changes and seven ties in this game. Lafayette shot 42.9% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 20 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 53.1% from the field including eight of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

E’maria Owens led Lafayette with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. McKinley Emerson added 11 points and eight rebounds. Addison Combs recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Anna Clay Denton chipped in with eight points including six of nine free throws, five rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.

Boyd County led 21-11 after the first quarter on their way to a 64-50 victory over Scott County. Boyd County shot 32.4% from the field including eight of 34 from the three point line. The Lady Lions connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 36 points off 33 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 36% from the field including six of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Boyd County turnovers.

Jada Ray led a balanced Boyd County scoring attack with 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Kollyn Groves added 16 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and three assists. Jylin Edmondson recorded 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots, and five steals. Zoey Smith chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Rockcastle County trailed 49-46 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter for a 71-64 over Great Crossing. There were seven lead changes and eight ties in this game. Rockcastle County shot 43.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 13 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 43.4% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warhawks connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Rockcastle County turnovers.

Taylor King led Rockcastle County with 37 points including three three point baskets, eight of eight free throws. Eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Macey Spivey added 21 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Lafayette trailed 46-39 in the final quarter but Lafayette rallied and the score was tied 50-50 at the end of regulation. Lafayette outscored East Jessamine 8-5 in overtime to earn a 58-55 victory. There were 11 ties and 19 lead changes in the game. Lafayette shot 37.7% from the field including two of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 28 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 25 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 40.8% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Jaguars connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

Anna Clay Denton led Lafayette with 21 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, two assists, and seven steals. Sacred Heart Academy pulled away in the second half to defeat Breckinridge County by the score of 65-42. Sacred Heart shot 52.3% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.
