Woodford County coach Jaron Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Kingston Towles, 6-1 Jr. Omari Jointer, 6-4 Jr. Josiah McKee, 5-11 Jr. RaJon Lewis, and 6-0 Sr. Gavin Banks. Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-4 Sr. Jackson Stephan, 6-3 Sr. Jack Hemenway, 6-5 Jr. Colton Helton, 5-10 Jr. Richard Goatley, and 6-0 Jr. Chaii Paris.

Woodford County defeated Henry Clay by the score of 70-60. Woodford County shot 52.2% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Yellow Jackets connected on 18 of 24 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off nine Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 44.2% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 12 Woodford County turnovers.

Omari Jointer led Woodford County with 24 points including six of six free throws, 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. 6-4 Fr. Cole Brown added 12 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, and two steals. RaJon Lewis recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Jack Hemenway led Henry Clay with 24 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, and two steals. Jackso Stephan added 18 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four assists. Colton Helton recorded six points and five rebounds.

Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-6 Jr. Azlynn Stamm, 5-5 Jr. Caroline Kaufman, 5-9 Sr. Kyamarra Mutuse, 5-4 Sr. Jordynn Miles, and 5-5 Jr. Baylee Murphy.

Madison Central defeated East Jessamine by the score of 54-47. There were four lead changes and four ties in this game. Madison Central shot 34% from the field including two of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 18 of 24 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 36% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Jaguars connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored six points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

Jordynn Miles led Madison Central with 20 points including six of seven free throws, seven rebounds, six assists, and six steals. 5-6 8th Grade Kadi Herbst added 10 points including five of six free throws, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Baylee Murphy recorded 10 points including five of eight free throws and six rebounds. 5-7 So. Taleah Haslon chipped in with six points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Rickayla Hubbard led East Jessamine with 19 points including four three point baskets, three of four free throws, four rebounds, and two steals. Maddy Arnold added 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Kaitlynn Napier recorded nine points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Kyla Hunt chipped in with five points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Madison Southern coach Juan Byars started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Laci Sandlin, 5-8 So. Briana Hensley, 6-0 Fr. Adeliah Collier, 5-3 Sr. Maria Himes, and 5-4 Sr. Hadley French. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-8 Fr. E’maria Owens, 5-6 Fr. Charleigh Foster, 5-11 Jr. Addison Combs, 5-5 Sr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-7 Jr. McKinlry Emerson.

Lafayette led 59-51 with 52 seconds left in the game but had to survive a furious rally by Madison Southern to earn a hard fought 62-60 victory. There were five lead changes and seven ties in this game. Lafayette shot 42.9% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 20 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 53.1% from the field including eight of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

E’maria Owens led Lafayette with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. McKinley Emerson added 11 points and eight rebounds. Addison Combs recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Anna Clay Denton chipped in with eight points including six of nine free throws, five rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.

Laci Sandlin led Madison Southern with 19 points including 10 of 12 free throws, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Briana Hensley added 14 points including two three point baskets and four of four free throws. Adeliah Collier recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Hadley French chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets and four assists.

Boyd County coach Kimberly Groves countered with 6-0 8th Grade Jylin Edmondson, 5-8 8th Grade Kollyn Groves, 6-0 Jr. Carley Boyd, 5-3 8th Grade Zoey Smith, and 5-4 Jr. Jada Ray.

Boyd County led 21-11 after the first quarter on their way to a 64-50 victory over Scott County. Boyd County shot 32.4% from the field including eight of 34 from the three point line. The Lady Lions connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 36 points off 33 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 36% from the field including six of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Boyd County turnovers.

Jada Ray led a balanced Boyd County scoring attack with 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Kollyn Groves added 16 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and three assists. Jylin Edmondson recorded 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots, and five steals. Zoey Smith chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Belle Banner led Scott County with 15 points on five three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Kierstin Young added 14 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. 5-6 Fr. Jada Jett recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three steals. Gabby Young chipped in with five points and nine rebounds.

Rockcastle County trailed 49-46 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter for a 71-64 over Great Crossing. There were seven lead changes and eight ties in this game. Rockcastle County shot 43.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 13 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 43.4% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warhawks connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Rockcastle County turnovers.

Taylor King led Rockcastle County with 37 points including three three point baskets, eight of eight free throws. Eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Macey Spivey added 21 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

There were 11 ties and 19 lead changes in the game. Lafayette shot 37.7% from the field including two of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 28 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 25 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 40.8% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Jaguars connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

Anna Clay Denton led Lafayette with 21 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, two assists, and seven steals. E’maria Owens added 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Addison Combs recorded nine points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and three steals. The Valkyries connected on 13 of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Breckinridge County turnovers. Breckinridge County shot 33.3% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 22 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Brianna Wilkins led Sacred Heart with 22 points including two three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, four rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and three steals. Jackson Stephan had a monster game tonight and led Henry Clay with 34 points including five of six free throws, 18 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. 6-3 Sr. Jack Hemenway added 11 points, two rebounds, and four assists. Colton Helton recorded nine points on three three point baskets, and eight rebounds. 5-11 Jr. Chaii Paris chipped in with eight points and four rebounds. Richard Goatley added eight points, two rebounds, and four steals. Barrett Goodwin recorded seven points.

Stephen Franklin led Tates Creek with 27 points including three three point baskets, six of nine free throws, two rebounds, and three assists. North Laurel coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Reece Davidson, 6-3 Sr. Jordan Rawlings, 6-7 So. Corey Cunagin, 6-0 So. Kaiden Allen, and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Elza. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-6 Sr. Max Meagher, 6-3 Sr. Hank Woodall, 6-7 So. Everett Stuart, 5-9 Sr. Jack Gambrell, and 6-2 Jr. Jacob Holland.

Lexington Catholic earns a big early season victory with a 59-48 home victory over North Laurel. There were two lead changes and four ties in this game. Lexington Catholic shot 52.2% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line. The Knights connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 North Laurel turnovers. North Laurel shot 35.6% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Everett Stuart led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals. Hank Woodall added 14 points and seven rebounds. Max Meagher recorded nine points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Jacob Holland chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists. Jack Gambrell added seven points, three assists, and three steals.

Reece Davidson led North Laurel with 21 points including six of seven free throws, five rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. Jordan Rawlings added 12 points on four three point baskets and three rebounds. Cooper Elza recorded six points on two three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Corey Cunagin chipped in with six points, two rebounds, and two assists.
