Scott County coach Toby Harris started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Kierstin Young, 5-6 Sr. Jessica Horn, 5-10 So. Gabby Young, 5-6 Sr. Belle Banner, and 5-7 Sr. Dymon Percell. Boyd County coach Kimberly Groves countered with 6-0 8th Grade Jylin Edmondson, 5-8 8th Grade Kollyn Groves, 6-0 Jr. Carley Boyd, 5-3 8th Grade Zoey Smith, and 5-4 Jr. Jada Ray.

Boyd County led 21-11 after the first quarter on their way to a 64-50 victory over Scott County. Boyd County shot 32.4% from the field including eight of 34 from the three point line. The Lady Lions connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 36 points off 33 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 36% from the field including six of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Boyd County turnovers.

Jada Ray led a balanced Boyd County scoring attack with 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Kollyn Groves added 16 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and three assists. Jylin Edmondson recorded 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots, and five steals. Zoey Smith chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Belle Banner led Scott County with 15 points on five three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Kierstin Young added 14 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. 5-6 Fr. Jada Jett recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three steals. Gabby Young chipped in with five points and nine rebounds.

Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Taylor King, 5-10 Sr. Macy Spivey, 5-11 Jr. Kaylee Smith, 5-7 Sr. Ella McKinney, and 5-8 Jr. Tessa Begley. Great Crossing coach Matt Walls countered with 5-8 Jr. Maya Custard, 5-9 Sr. Claire Tierney, 5-8 Jr. Janiah Williamson, 5-6 So. Kendall Kearney, and 5-6 So. Samantha Brown.

Rockcastle County trailed 49-46 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter for a 71-64 over Great Crossing. There were seven lead changes and eight ties in this game. Rockcastle County shot 43.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 13 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 43.4% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warhawks connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Rockcastle County turnovers.

Taylor King led Rockcastle County with 37 points including three three point baskets, eight of eight free throws. Eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Macey Spivey added 21 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Maya Custard led Great Crossing with 29 points including two three point baskets, seven of seven free throws, and three steals. Claire Tierney added nine points and 13 rebounds. Samantha Brown recorded nine points on three three point baskets. Kendall Kearney chipped in with eight points, six assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.

East Jessamine coach Travis Firth countered with 5-9 Jr. Maddy Arnold, 5-7 Sr. Rickayla Hubbard, 6-0 Sr. Kaitlynn Napier. 5-3 Sr. Kyla Hunt, and 5-5 Sr. Sloan Evans.

Lafayette trailed 46-39 in the final quarter but Lafayette rallied and the score was tied 50-50 at the end of regulation. Lafayette outscored East Jessamine 8-5 in overtime to earn a 58-55 victory. There were 11 ties and 19 lead changes in the game. Lafayette shot 37.7% from the field including two of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 28 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 25 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 40.8% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Jaguars connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

Anna Clay Denton led Lafayette with 21 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, two assists, and seven steals. E’maria Owens added 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Addison Combs recorded nine points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and three steals. McKinley Emerson chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Kaitlynn Napier led East Jessamine with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists. Kyla Hunt added 10 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Rickayla Hubbard recorded nine points on three three point baskets and three rebounds. Maddy Arnold chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, and seven steals. 6-0 Sr. Matelyn Wilson added seven points.

Sacred Heart Academy pulled away in the second half to defeat Breckinridge County by the score of 65-42. Sacred Heart shot 52.3% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 13 of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Breckinridge County turnovers. Breckinridge County shot 33.3% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 22 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Brianna Wilkins led Sacred Heart with 22 points including two three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, four rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and three steals. Tootie Jordan added 20 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Emma Zutterman recorded eight points and nine rebounds. Riley Gilvin chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Rowan Radaszewski led Breckinridge County with 13 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds. Josie Mitcham added eight points, four rebounds, and two steals. Henry Clay led 22-13 after the first quarter on their way to an 85-69 victory over Tates Creek. Henry Clay shot 53.2% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 35.5% from the field including 12 of 35 from beyond the arc. The Commodores connected on 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

Jackson Stephan had a monster game tonight and led Henry Clay with 34 points including five of six free throws, 18 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. 6-3 Sr. Jack Hemenway added 11 points, two rebounds, and four assists. Colton Helton recorded nine points on three three point baskets, and eight rebounds. 5-11 Jr. Chaii Paris chipped in with eight points and four rebounds. Richard Goatley added eight points, two rebounds, and four steals. Barrett Goodwin recorded seven points.

Stephen Franklin led Tates Creek with 27 points including three three point baskets, six of nine free throws, two rebounds, and three assists. Brady Manning added 12 points including three three point baskets and two steals. Tom Haubenreich recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. DJ Searight added eight points including two three point baskets.

Lexington Catholic earns a big early season victory with a 59-48 home victory over North Laurel. There were two lead changes and four ties in this game. Lexington Catholic shot 52.2% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line. The Knights connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 North Laurel turnovers. North Laurel shot 35.6% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Everett Stuart led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals. Hank Woodall added 14 points and seven rebounds. Max Meagher recorded nine points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Jacob Holland chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists. Owensboro defeated Pulaski County by the score of 35-7. Owensboro recorded 16 first downs and 350 yards of total offense. The Red Devils were penalized four times for 37 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted. Pulaski County recorded 18 first downs and 308 yards of total offense. The Maroons were penalized five times for 45 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Evan Hampton led Owensboro’s ground game with 108 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries and was named Game MVP. Omarian Green carried the ball eight times for 50 yards. DeMarcus Ganaway recorded 45 yards on three carries. DeMarcus Ganaway completed 13 of 18 passes for 166 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Kingston Dillard caught seven passes for 82 yards. Ayden Fountain added three receptions for 18 yards. Chadyn Morris added a 41 yard touchdown reception. Kalil Shemwell returned a punt 84 yards for a touchdown. Ty Ashley led the defense with eight solo and six assisted tackles. Elijah Hampton added eight solo and three assisted tackles. Amare Roney recorded five solo and four assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass. Omarian Green intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards.

Kasen Brock led Pulaski County’s ground game with 148 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. Will Adams carried the ball 14 times for 60 yards. Winston Ford recorded 42 yards on six carries. Will Adams completed seven of 20 passes for 58 yards with two interceptions. Winston Ford caught three passes for 20 yards. Kasen Brock added two receptions for 23 yards. Parker Burton caught one pass for 10 yards. Kasen Brock returned four kickoffs for 52 yards with a long return of 22 yards. Cohen Finley led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Boone Godby added three solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Kaden Carrier recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Toby Wright and Winston Ford each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Kasen Brock recorded two solo and one assisted tackles. Bryan Ford recorded a fumble and Will Adams intercepted a pass.

Trinity defeated South Warren 28-14 to earn their third consecutive championship and their 30th overall title. Trinity took a 21-0 lead at halftime and held off South Warren to earn the title. Trinity recorded 13 first downs and 267 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized four times for 40 yards. South Warren recorded 15 first downs and 283 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 73 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Jamaurion Berry led Trinity’s ground game with 78 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries and was named Game MVP. Ashton Taylor added 60 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Zane Johnson completed 12 of 25 passes for 149 yards and one touchdown. Cross Watson caught four passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. Kaleb Warner added four receptions for 59 yards. Cross Watson returned two kickoffs for 57 yards with a long return of 43 yards. Ashton Taylor returned one kickoff for 23 yards. Peyton Hilbert punted five times for an average of 43.0 average and a long punt of 50 yards. Elijah Burns-Crump led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Sonny Bratcher-Gray added six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Brennen Lowe recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Myles Howze chipped in with five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Keandre Thompson recorded three solo tackles which resulted in losses totaling 14 yards. Jayce Duvall intercepted a pass and Peyton Hilbert recovered a fumble.

Kayden York led South Warren’s ground game with 47 yards on 16 carries. Chase Bell carried the ball five times for 15 yards. Camden Page completed 13 of 31 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Chase Bell completed three of five passes for 53 yards. Tucker Sears attempted one pass that was intercepted. Jake Carter caught eight passes for 155 yards and a touchdown. Griffin Reynolds added four receptions for 76 yards. Kayden York added two catches for 23 yards. Tucker Sears caught two passes for 20 yards. Isaiah Bridges scored on a 98 yard kickoff return. Isaiah Bridges led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Cole Kuzma added five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. JaQuise Smith and Malik Butler each recorded three solo tackles.

Christian Academy of Louisville capped off an undefeated season with a 42-7 victory over Murray for the Class 3A championship. Christian Academy of Louisville recorded 14 first downs and 354 yards of total offense. The Centurions were penalized six times for 62 yards. Murray was hampered by the absence of quarterback Wyatt Robbins who suffered an injury in the semifinals. Murray recorded 11 first downs and 174 yards of total offense. The Tigers were penalized once for 11 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jeffrey Vazzana led CAL’s ground game with 26 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Tyree Stoner added 26 yards on six carries. Gaines Howard recorded 16 yards on one carry. Jackson Burke completed 14 of 14 passes for 316 yards and five touchdowns and was named Game MVP. JaHyde Brown caught six passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Stone Perkins added three receptions for 56 yards and two touchdowns. Jeffrey Vazzana recorded two catches for 23 yards. Tyree Stoner chipped in with one catch for 36 yards. Gaines Howard added one catch for 13 yards. Andrew Greene caught an eight yard touchdown reception. JaHyde Brown returned one punt for 23 yards. Jackson Settle led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned six yards. Micah Newsome added eight solo and four assisted tackles. Kellan Hall recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Stone Perkins added three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 45 yards.

Amarion Bomar led Murray’s ground game with 75 yards on nine carries. Gage Chapman carried the ball six times for 25 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Martin recorded 15 yards on four carries. Kenyon Cunningham completed eight of 13 passes for 56 yards with two interceptions. Isaiah Martin caught four passes for 40 yards. Joshua Bridges caught two passes for eight yards. Isaiah Martin returned three kickoffs for 48 yards with a long return of 18 yards. Amarion Bomar returned one kickoff for 16 yards. Gage Chapman led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles. Trendon Curd, Jordan Westbrook, and Ryan Walls each recorded two solo tackles.
