Woodford County trailed 18-14 at halftime but outscored the Cardinals 31-13 in the second half to earn a 45-31 victory over Scott County tonight. Scott County had special team woes tonight as they failed on three of four extra point kicks, gave up a 70 yard touchdown return on a kickoff, averaged 20.5 yards on two punts and only 28.5 yards on six kickoffs. Woodford County recorded 22 first downs and 346 yards of total offense. The Yellowjackets were penalized twice for 10 yards. Scott County recorded 11 first downs and 414 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized twice for 20 yards.

Darrian Tomlin led the Woodford County ground game with 141 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. Foxx Coons completed 19 of 28 passes for 195 yards and four touchdowns. Omari Jointer caught seven passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Johnson added four receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. Greyson Hodge recorded four catches for 40 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Champagne returned two kickoffs for 97 yards including a 70 yard return for a

touchdown. Greyson Hodge returned one kickoff for 23 yards. Jordan Holman and Neaimayiah Davis-Jones each recorded five solo and one assisted tackles to lead the defense. Josiah McKee added three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in a total of three lost yards. Elias Tackett recorded one solo and six assisted tackles. Kade Gilliam added one solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.

Jayden Garrett led Scott County’s ground game with 103 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Timmy Emongo carried the ball 10 times for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Skyler Way recorded 73 yards on 13 carries. JT Wells carried the ball once for 72 yards and a touchdown. Charlie Ellison completed two of seven passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Timmy Emongo caught two passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. JT Wells returned two kickoffs for 15 yards with a long return of 10 yards. Ju Ju Harmon returned two kickoffs for 11 yards with a long return of eight yards. Asher Brewer led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Markel Moses added six solo tackles. Parker Adkins recorded two solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.

Lexington Christian Academy pulled away in the second half to defeat Mayfield by the score of 35-14. LCA pulled away despite turning the ball over three times with one fumble resulting in a touchdown and being penalized 14 times for 147 yards. The Eagles’ run game came up big tonight with 282 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 21 first downs and 396 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized 14 times for 147 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Mayfield recorded 12 first downs and 178 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 110 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Nash Whalen led the LCA ground game with 181 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Daven Hood carried the ball 17 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns. Nash Whalen completed seven of 13 passes for 114 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Tyler King caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. Sam Pearson caught one pass for 18 yards. Dean Hester was five of five on extra point attempts, punted twice for a 45.0 average with a long punt of 56 yards with both his kicks inside the 20 yard line and kicked off six times for a 55.7 average and four touch backs. Tyler King returned five punts for 57 yards with a long return of 17 yards. Daven Hood returned two kickoffs for 12 yards with a long return of seven yards. Thomas Sizemore led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Sam Pearson added four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Nash Whalen recorded three solo tackles. Aiden Lyons chipped in with two solo and two assisted tackles. Jaxon Ramsey recovered a fumble he returned nine yards.

Josiah England led Mayfield’s ground game with 85 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. J. Sherrill carried the ball five times for 29 yards. Malik Kirby recorded 15 yards on five carries. Gray Robbins completed 10 of 26 passes for 65 yards with one interception. Mak Hoover caught four passes for 16 yards. Malik Kirby added two receptions for 23 yards. Will Morris recorded two catches for 15 yards. Mak Hoover returned one punt for eight yards and returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Jalal Islam returned one kickoff for 19 yards. Mak Hoover led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Kyler Simpson added three solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards. Will Morris recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Garin Wilson chipped in with two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Ashton Flint recorded three solo tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards. J. Sherrill recovered a fumble he returned four yards for a touchdown.

Montravion Graham supplied the lightning tonight with four touchdowns including two long runs of 72 and 51 yards to lead Bowling Green to a 52-27 victory over Apollo. Apollo was without the services of injured QB Maxwell Johnson. However John Edge stepped up and capably filled in to spark the Apollo offense. Bowling Green recorded 449 yards of total offense while Apollo recorded 439 yards of total offense.

Montravion Graham led the Bowling Green ground game with 143 yards and four touchdowns on nine carries. Nick Graham carried the ball 13 times for 83 yards. Jaxen Smith recorded 25 yards on three carries. Anthony Davis completed 12 of 14 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Trevy Barber caught seven passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Hudson Nottmeier added one reception for 31 yards. Jaxen Smith recorded two receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown. Montez Trussell led the defense with one solo and eight assisted tackles. Logan Johnson added two solo and six assisted tackles. Jaxen Smith and Austin Kirk each recorded two solo and five assisted tackles. Zyrek Burton chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Embree Dotson intercepted a pass he returned for 53 yards. Andru Jones also intercepted a pass.

Brayden Mattingly led Apollo’s ground game with 59 yards on 15 carries. John Edge carried the ball eight times for 36 yards and a touchdown. John Edge completed 26 of 45 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Landen Bratcher completed his only pass for 10 yards and a touchdown. Landen Bratcher caught nine passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Eli Williams added seven receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown. Ehmadjai Badger recorded three catches for 46 yards. Caden Tutt chipped in with four catches for 35 yards. Brayden Mattingly recorded four receptions for 30 yards. Roderick Dillard led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles. John Edge added six solo and three assisted tackles. Brody Griffith recorded two solo and six assisted tackles. Ehmadjai Badger chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles. Caiden Tutt added three solo tackles.

Rockcastle County took an early 10-0 lead but Lawrence County rallied to earn a 32-26 victory. Rockcastle County pulled to within six; 24-18 early in the final quarter but QB Luke Fetherolf scored on a seven yard run and Kaden Johnson scored on a two point conversion run to increase the margin to 32-18. Rockcastle County added a safety and touchdown in the final minute but they could not overtake the high flying Bulldogs. Lawrence County recorded 12 first downs and 273 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted. Rockcastle County recorded nine first downs and 315 yards of total offense. The Rockets lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.

Luke Fetherolf led Lawrence County’s ground game with 68 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Cavin Williams carried the ball eight times for 42 yards. Kaden Johnson recorded 25 yards on five carries. Luke Fetherolf completed 12 of 15 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Gray Derifield caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown. Carlo Chicko added one reception for 21 yards. Cameron Castle recorded three receptions for 20 yards. Braxton Davis chipped in with one reception for 14 yards. Kaden Johnson led the defense with 12 solo and nine assisted tackles with two forced fumbles. Carlo Chicko added seven solo and five assisted tackles. Cameron Castle recorded four solo and six assisted tackles with one fumble recovery. Ty Brooks added six solo and two assisted tackles. Middlesboro held on down the stretch to earn a 44-36 victory over Hazard. Middlesboro led 38-36 with less than two minutes left in the game and scored on a 22 yard pass from Deakon Partin to Joseph Killion on a third and long clutch play. Hazard stopped Middlesboro on a two point conversion attempt leaving the score at 44-36. Hazard had one more opportunity but on a fourth and ten play Hazard QB William Shoptaw was pushed out of bounds short of the eight yard line inches short of a first down ensuring the victory for the Yellowjackets. Middlesboro recorded 452 yards of total offense while Hazard rolled up 500 yards.

Caden Lawson led Middlesboro’s ground game with 107 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Jacob Tinnell added 40 yards on nine carries. Colby Lawson recorded 32 yards on nine carries. Malachi Coots chipped in with 24 yards on six carries. Deakon Partin carried the ball seven times for eight yards and two touchdowns. Deakon Partin completed 16 of 21 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns. Joseph Killion caught five passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. Amari Houston added one reception for 35 yards. Caden Lawson recorded three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Mekhi Young chipped in with two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown. Malachi Coots added two catches for 23 yards. Colt Brayless and Jacob Tinnell each recorded 11 tackles to lead the defense. Kordell Partin added eight tackles. Colby Lawson and Joseph Killion each recorded seven tackles and Amari Houston recovered four tackles and recovered a fumble.

Gavin Johnson led the Hazard ground game with 108 yards on 18 carries. Cameron Miller carried the ball 14 times for 67 yards and four touchdowns. William Shoptaw completed 22 of 34 passes for 315 yards and two touchdowns. Connor Holbrook caught nine passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. Korbin Fletcher added four passes for 94 yards. Gavin Johnson recorded six catches for 71 yards. Javion Fullwood caught three passes for 20 yards and a touchdown. South Warren scored 22 unanswered points in the third quarter to pull away for a 51-23 victory over Hopkinsville. This was the last football game for Hopkinsville because they will be consolidated with Christian County next season. South Warren recorded 522 yards while Hopkinsville recorded 256 yards of total offense.

Jamir Boards led South Warren’s ground game with 80 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Kayden York carried the ball nine times for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Carter carried the ball twice for 12 yards and a touchdown. Camden Page recorded 10 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Camden Page completed 13 of 15 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown. Chase Bell completed seven of nine passes for 104 yards. Jake Carter caught nine passes for 144 yards. Tucker Sears caught three passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Bridges recorded two receptions for 41 yards. Griffin Reynolds chipped in with two receptions for 37 yards. Justin Capps added two catches for 26 yards. Kayden York caught one pass for 17 yards. Cole Kuzma led the defense with one solo and seven assisted tackles. Takyon Darden added five assisted tackles. Covington Catholic trailed late in the game by a score of 29-28 but scored on a 29 yard run by Dylan Gaiser and added a two point conversion on a pass to Gaiser from Cash Harney to make the final score 36-29. Johnson Central had one last opportunity from the Covington Catholic 10 yard line but Brady Guard deflected a pass in the end zone to end the scoring opportunity and knock Johnson Central from the unbeaten ranks. This was a game of contrasts as Johnson Central moved up and down at will utilizing their potent triple option attack and totally controlling the clock (78 plays run as opposed to 19 for CovCath). Covington Catholic countered with their quick strike offense with scoring plays of 65, 80, 42, 47, and 29 yards. Covington Catholic recorded seven first downs and 309 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 20 yards. Johnson Central recorded 27 first downs and 458 yards of total offense. The Golden Eagles were penalized three times for 25 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 161 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Dylan Gaiser carried the ball five times for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Cash Harney completed one of five passes for nine yards. Zach Brooks caught one pass for nine yards. Dylan Gaiser returned one punt for nine yards. Mac Cogswell returned two kickoffs for 82 yards with a long return of 48 yards. Dylan Gaiser and Cash Myers each returned one kickoff for 12 and nine yards respectively. Cash Myers led the defense with 15 solo and seven assisted tackles. Brady Guard added 12 solo and seven assisted tackles. Johnny Lind recorded 11 solo and three assisted tackles. Owen Pitzer chipped in with six solo and one assisted tackles. Mitchell Wolff added five solo and five assisted tackles. Dylan Gaiser recorded four solo and four assisted tackles. Luke Lampe intercepted a pass.

Braxton Perry led Johnson Central’s ground game with 238 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Logan Music carried the ball 18 times for 111 yards and a touchdown. Collin Cantrell recorded 37 yards on 14 carries. Austin Slone chipped in with 23 yards on five carries. JD Morris carried the ball three times for 24 yards and a touchdown. Bryson Music carried the ball twice for 16 yards. Logan Marrow added nine yards on three carries. Austin Slone was zero of three in passing attempts with one interception. JD Morris returned one punt for 10 yards. Rylan Kelsey returned four kickoffs for 52 yards with a long return of 16 yards. Braxton Perry returned one kickoff for 16 yards. JD Morris returned one kickoff for five yards. Gabe Blackburn, Brennon Daniels, and Chase Preece each recorded two solo tackles to lead the defense.

Highlands defeated Ashland Blazer by the score of 45-7. The highlight of the night once again involved Tayden Lorenzen in the second quarter as he intercepted a pass in the end zone, raced to the 25 and lateraled the ball to Michael Tincher who raced down field for the touchdown. Highland recorded 378 yards of total offense while holding Ashland to 205 yards.

Colt Kremer led Highland’s ground game with 72 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Rio Litmer carried the ball six times for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Kendell Fennell recorded 33 yards on six carries. Rio Litmer completed six of 12 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. Bryce Armstrong completed his only pass for a 64 yard touchdown pass. Peyton Klosterman caught one pass for 64 yards. Tayden Lorenzen added two receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns. John Feldbrugge added two receptions for 39 yards. Cale Harris recorded one catch for 28 yards. Chase Jacobs led the defense with five solo tackles. Jaxon Roderick added three solo and one assisted tackles. Isaac Niemann recorded two solo and two assisted tackles. Max Merz chipped in with three solo tackles. Jayden Lorenzen intercepted a pass he returned 25 yards.

Brody Belt scored on a 17 yard run in the closing minute to give Henderson County a 41-34 lead over McCracken County and the defense recorded a game ending sack to ensure the upset victory on the road. Henderson County recorded 23 first downs and 344 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized 10 times for 117 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. McCracken County recorded 24 first downs and 385 yards of total offense. The Mustangs were penalized 11 times for 125 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Jack Dalton led Henderson County’s ground game with 137 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. Brody Belt carried the ball 12 times for 79 yards and a touchdown. Kingston Shidler recorded 24 yards on 10 carries. Brody Belt completed six of 12 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Avant Baxter caught four passes for 69 yards and a touchdown. Hezekiah Harris added two receptions for 29 yards. Myron Wright led the defense with 10 tackles. Christian Haygan, Jack Ryan Reusch, and Zarian Rideout were close behind as each recorded nine tackles. Avant Baxter, Jack Dalton, and Anzerion Marigny each recorded an interception.

Landon Newman led the McCracken County ground game with 96 yards on 19 carries. Maddox O’Neal carried the ball 12 times for 33 yards with one touchdown. Kerwin Montgomery led Bryan Station’s ground game with 60 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Avery Johnson carried the ball 10 times for 26 yards. Raymond Young recorded 23 yards on five carries. Jordan Haskins carried the ball 11 times for 20 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Haskins completed 11 of 28 passes for 110 yards with one interception. Kamani Barbour threw one pass that was intercepted. Brayden Wilson caught four passes for 49 yards. Kamani Barbour added three receptions for 42 yards. S. Williams returned one kickoff for 85 yards and a touchdown. Kamani Barbour returned two kickoffs for 30 yards with a long return of 20 yards. Kaiden Simpson returned three kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 15 yards. Jordan Haskins returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Raymond Young led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Alaji Bojang added seven solo and two assisted tackles. S. Williams recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Freddie Canute chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Ethan Thomas added three solo and two assisted tackles. Joel Ndayisaba recorded two solom and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.
