Scott County defeated Cooper by the score of 55-34. Scott County’s potent Wing-T offense produced as expected (296 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns) but Charlie Ellison piloted the offense flawlessly and constantly burned the Cooper defense on play action passes accounting for 308 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 604 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 60 yards and had a pass intercepted. Cooper recorded 16 first downs and 315 yards of total offense. The Jaguars were penalized three times for 20 yards.

Timmy Emongo led the Scott County ground game with 124 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. Skyler Way carried the ball 24 times for 117 yards. Jayden Garrett recorded 44 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Charlie Ellison completed nine of 10 passes for 308 yards and four touchdowns. Red Owens caught five passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Keller Furnish added two receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Timmy Emongo recorded two catches for 58 yards. Timmy Emongo returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Red Owens returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Markel Moses led the defense with six solo tackles. Keller Furnish added five solo and one assisted tackles. Carlos Fugate recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Eli Faris chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles.

Keagan Maher led Cooper’s ground game with 70 yards on 14 carries. Cam O’Hara completed 18 of 28 passes for 265 yards and four touchdowns. Ryker Campbell caught five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. Corey Freihofer added five receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Drew Hartman recorded four receptions for 35 yards. Gavistin Martin chipped in with three catches for 26 yards and a touchdown. Ryker Campbell returned three kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 30 yards. Gavistin Martin returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Jordi Adombe and Xavier Barbour each returned one kickoff for eight and seven yards respectively. Ryker Campbell led the defense with 11 solo and one assisted tackles. Christian Inabnit added seven solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Dax Bolen recorded six solo and six assisted tackles. Jaymauri Duncan chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy raced out to a 28-0 lead on their way to a 51-21 victory over Monroe County. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 24 first downs and 423 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized three times for 20 yards and lost a fumble. Monroe County recorded 12 first downs and 238 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 98 yards and lost a fumble.

Daven Hood led LCA’s ground game with 93 yards on six carries. Bennett Gudalis carried the ball six times for 31 yards and two touchdowns. Sam Pearson recorded 30 yards on four carries. Nash Whalen chipped in with 20 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Conrad Hart also scored a touchdown on the ground. Nash Whalen completed 16 of 24 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Bryce Blackerby completed two of three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. Sam Pearson completed his only pass for six yards. Tyler King caught seven passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Sam Pearson added three receptions for 19 yards. Dawson Farmer caught two passes for 22 yards. Conrad hart added two receptions for 20 yards. John Simon Bertram caught a 46 yard touchdown reception. Tyler King returned one punt for nine yards. Harrison Samford returned one kickoff for 24 yards. Dean Hester was six of six on extra point conversions, added a 25 yard field goal, and kicked off eight times for a 54.9 average with three touch backs. Thomas Sizemore and John Seigler each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and Seigler recovered a fumble. Conrad Hart added three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Collin Hensley recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Allen Cox also recorded two solo and one assisted tackles.

Branson Williams led Monroe County’s ground game with 77 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Brayden Baxter carried the ball 13 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. Reece Bartley recorded 30 yards on five carries. Branson Williams completed five of 10 passes for 63 yards. Brison Nuckols caught two passes for 42 yards. Brayden Baxter added two receptions for 15 yards. Levi Miller caught one pass for six yards. Reece Bartley returned two kickoffs for 68 yards. Griffin Spears returned two kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Brayden Baxter led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Reece Bartley added six solo tackles. Branson Williams recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Jay Rowland chipped in with one solo and four assisted tackles. Jarrett Denton added two solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Bullitt East defeated North Hardin by the score of 28-21. Bullitt East raced out to a 20-0 halftime lead but North Hardin scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 21-20 lead after three quarters. Bullitt East scored a touchdown and added a two point conversion run to earn the victory. Bullitt East recorded 330 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. North Hardin recorded 311 yards of total offense, lost a fumble. And had a pass intercepted.

Cole Fackler carried the ball 25 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns to lead Bullitt East’s ground attack. Jayquan Crawford carried the ball 14 times for 32 yards and a touchdown. Cole Cornell added 28 yards on six carries. Cole Cornell completed 11 of 21 passes for 154 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Evan Butler caught three passes for 67 yards. Jack Pope added four catches for 46 yards and a touchdown. BJ Jewell recorded two catches for 31 yards. Christian Martinez chipped in with two catches for 10 yards. Tyler O’Bryan led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles. Carmen Covyeon added three solo and four assisted tackles. Evan Clan recorded two solo and three assisted tackles. Brady Weihe added three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Connor Heun recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Jakylin Kirkland led North Hardin’s ground game with 133 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Zayden Winfield carried the ball four times for 12 yards. LhaMoriya Beard carried the ball six times for four yards. Jakylin Kirkland completed 13 of 33 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Alexander Barkley caught two passes for 52 yards and a touchdown. Phillip Bostic added four receptions for 50 yards. Ronald Lunz recorded four catches for 28 yards. Shamer Whitfield chipped in with two catches for 20 yards. Zayden Winfield added one reception for 12 yards. Josiah Hope led the defense with 15 solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Joseph Whaley added six solo and nine assisted tackles. Xavier Cruz recorded seven solo tackles. Christian Lee and Cohan Campbell each recorded six solo and one assisted tackles. Konnor Meredith added three solo and five assisted tackles. Marquise Hendricks scored on a 24 yard interception return. Andrew Scott also intercepted a pass.

Hopkinsville defeated Daviess County bye the score of 50-20 to advance in the playoffs. Hopkinsville recorded 446 yards of total offense, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Daviess County recorded 361 yards and had three passes intercepted.

James Bradley led Hopkinsville’s ground game with 223 yards and five touchdowns on 20 carries. Jeremiah Smith carried the ball three times for 16 yards and a touchdown. Kyrien Cannon recorded 16 yards on three carries. Jasiah McCarley completed six of 10 passes for 167 yards. Nehemiah Bailey completed one of three passes for 20 yards with one interception. Aiden Jesse caught two passes for 70 yards. Tremayne Clay added two receptions for 52 yards. Keyshun Neal recorded two receptions for 45 yards. Kyrien Cannon caught one pass for 20 yards. Tremeyne Clay returned a kickoff 55 yards for a touchdown. John Morton and Foster Jackson led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles each. DeAndre Watkins added five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Jordan Catlett recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Jordan Duerson chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Jayon Bass and Tavares Burgess each intercepted a pass.

Ridge Roberts led Daviess County’s ground game with 47 yards on 15 carries. Garrison Barker carried the ball seven times for 19 yards. Simon Kenton defeated Oldham County by the score of 31-9. Simon Kenton recorded 13 first downs and 371 yards of total offense. The Pioneers were penalized four times for 40 yards. Oldham County recorded 12 first downs and 162 yards of total offense. The Dragons were penalized twice for 20 yards and suffered two turnovers.

Landon Brown led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 76 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Grant Webb carried the ball six times for 40 yards. Jordan Pendleton recorded 36 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Jason Rabe carried the ball once for seven yards and a touchdown. Grant Webb completed eight of nine passes for 141 yards. Grayson Harris completed his only pass for 71 yards and a touchdown. Grayson Harris caught six passes for 95 yards. Forest Hughes caught one pass for 71 yards and a touchdown. Brian Marshall starred on both sides of the ball to lead Central to a 29-18 victory over Bardstown. Central recorded 335 yards of total offense and had a pass intercepted. Bardstown recorded 208 yards of total offense and had a pass intercepted.

Brian Marshall led Central’s ground game with 157 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Demontre Cherry carried the ball 1 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. Phillip Baker also scored a touchdown on the ground. Phillip Baker completed three of six passes for 70 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Jaden Perry caught one pass for 39 yards and a touchdown. Khalen Hadley added one reception for 19 yards. Rashad Johnson caught one pass for 12 yards. Jaylon Benning Watt led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles. Brian Marshall added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass. Covington Catholic raced out to a 41-0 lead on their way to a 48-21 victory over Boyd County. Covington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 457 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized one time for 10 yards and lost a fumble. Boyd County recorded 10 first downs and 199 yards of total offense. The Lions were penalized twice for 15 yards.

Dylan Gaiser led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 110 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Kiyan Miller carried the ball twice for 53 yards. Mac Cogswell recorded 21 yards on one carry. Cash Harney chipped in with 12 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Logan Sanning carried the ball once for 12 yards and a touchdown. Cash Harney completed 14 of 17 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Dylan Courtney completed his only pass for 13 yards and a touchdown. Owen Pitzer caught four passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. Donovan Bradshaw caught three passes for 29 yards. Logan Sanning added two receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Gaiser and Dylan Courtney each caught one pass for 14 yards. Grant Reardon caught one pass for 13 yards and a touchdown. Jace Thornton returned two kickoffs for 42 yards with a long return of 42 yards. Brandon Smith led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles. Tucker Evans and Jace Thornton each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Owen Pitzer, Luke Lampke, and Jack Keller each recorded three solo tackles.

Kaleb Kelley led Boyd County’s ground game with three yards and a touchdown on two carries. Ian Branham carried the ball once for a one yard touchdown run. Jace Manning completed 18 of 26 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown. Kaleb Kelley caught eight passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. Conner Davis added one reception for 50 yards. Ian Branham recorded two receptions for 38 yards. Kaleb Kelley returned five kickoffs for 86 yards with a long return of 22 yards. James McDaniels returned two kickoffs for 24 yards with a long return of 14 yards. Cameron May returned one kickoff for 19 yards. Kaiden Nottingham led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Ian Branham, Cameron May, Cayden Thompson, James McDaniels, and Caleb Rimmer each recorded three solo tackles. South Oldham vs. Cooper

Cooper managed the foggy conditions and a tough opening round opponent to defeat South Oldham by the score of 28-14. Cooper appears to be rounding into playoff shape with their balanced offense and a stingy defense especially after giving up an early touchdown. The Jaguars will need all this as they face their old nemesis Scott County next. Cooper recorded 269 yards of total offense, penalized four times for 25 yards, and did not have any turnovers. South Oldham recorded 239 yards of total offense, penalized seven times for 62 yards. And had one pass intercepted.

Keagan Maher led Cooper’s ground game with 104 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Ryker Campbell carried the ball twice for 19 yards. Cam O’Hara also added a rushing touchdown with a 19 yard run. Cam O’Hara completed nine of 15 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown. Drew Hartman caught two passes for 40 yards. Ryker Campbell added two receptions for 29 yards. Max Wethington recorded one catch for 22 yards and a touchdown. Colton Graham chipped in with a 17 yard reception. Kolade Dada caught one pass for 37 yards. Anthony Dixon recorded two receptions for 11 yards and a touchdown. Adrian Miles led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles. George Rogers Clark vs. Tates Creek

George Rogers Clark defeated Tates Creek by the score of 33-6. Tates Creek trailed 7-6 late in the second quarter but in a matter of seconds the proverbial “wheels came off the wagon for Tates Creek”. Tates Creek was on offense and had advanced to the GRC 31 yard line but Haddon Cecil intercepted a Tates Creek pass and returned it to the GRC 45 yard line. Three plays later Braylon Nester scored on a 45 yard run and Levi Ross added the kickto make the score 14-6 with 56 second left to halftime. On the ensuing kickoff Tates Creek fumbled the ball and GRC recovered on the Tates Creek 37 yard line. Brylon Nester immediately threw a 37 yard touchdown pass to Haddon Cecil to make the score 20-6 with 42 seconds remaining until halftime. Once again Tates Creek fumbled the kickoff and GRC recovered at the GRC 42. Tates Creek intercepted a GRC pass late to get to halftime without any further damage but could not get back in the game after halftime and GRC rolled to the victory.

George Rogers Clark recorded 17 first downs and 338 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized four times for 33 yards and had one pass intercepted. Tates Creek recorded eight first downs and 200 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 12 times for 106 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Stryker Davidson led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 145 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Braylon Nester carried the ball 14 times for 100 yards and three touchdowns. Landon Belcher recorded 66 yards on 15 carries. Braylon Nester completed one of two passes for 37 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Haddon Cecil caught a 37 yard touchdown reception. Braylon Nester returned one kickoff for 36 yards. Scotty Mitchell led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles. Braylon Nester added three solo and one assisted tackles. Jake Thompson recorded one solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Evan Davenport also recorded one solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Haddon Cecil recorded one solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 36 yards. Wyatt Jackson recovered a fumble.

BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 19 yards on eight carries. Darnell Burnside carried the ball three times for 16 yards. Darnell Burnside completed 11 of 20 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Ace Davis completed two of two passes for 42 yards. Triston Taylor caught five passes for 89 yards. JT Cooper added five receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown. Luke Cooper recorded three receptions for 46 yards. Triston Taylor returned two kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 32 yards. Lazarey Warren returned one kickoff for 10 yards. JT Cooper returned one kickoff for nine yards. Dvaughn Flowers led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Shawn Taylor added six solo and two assisted tackles.
